@Tim a touring NZ A team was in the pipeline apparently before COVID. I heard a while back that a Pacific Island 'best of the rest of SRA' team was now being considered to play the ABs the week or couple of weeks after the North South game. That could evolve into a 3 way ABs, PI team, NZ Maoris series if international rugby is scuppered.

@Nogusta Yep, the All Blacks XV (the current name of NZ A) had already one fixture scheduled: against Fiji, in Canada.

I'd rather see the ABs XV play the ABs and Maori ABs than a PI 'best of the rest SRA' team. The Maori ABs are already the Maori 'best of the rest' team. A third team should be inclusive and not limited to one ethnic group, unless they're planning to add a fourth, inclusive team.

" this window will accommodate the postponed men's and women's Six Nations matches at the end of October, a rest weekend on 7 November and a programme of international matches involving the Six Nations and invited teams hosted in Europe from 14 November through to 5 December"

Yay Six Nations, sand then (basically) MOAR six Nations

Also no mention of tier 2 Nations, I guess they can go fuck themselves in the normal way of WR looking after rugby on this world.

There won’t be any. Intra NZ is all you can hope for in 2020.

Anything else will have a red cancelled stamp

Couldn't beat us at the RWC, too scared to defend their status. 🎣

Expect the Pumas to stay away, too. I think about all their first choice players have signed with European clubs, who won't release them, and their second and third stringers haven't played for ages.

NZR could offer the Boks some warm up games against NZ provincial sides.

Release window has been decided. It doesn't include quarantine. time tho, and I guess the clubs will do everything they can to fuck it up

I said pages back on this thread. Should organize inbound 3 test tour by Wallabies with 3 midweek provincial matches. Revenue split it. Make it an old-school event/occasion.

Other , TRC, options are pie in sky this year, I'm afraid.

4 test series wont happen, probably, due to covid situation in Oz. Wont be crowds, anyway.

My guess is that the ABs season will be:

Three Tests in NZ against Australia in October

Three or Four Tests in Japan or the British Isles in November/ Early December, possibly including a game against the Boks.

The November Games between the All Blacks and Scotland & Wales are officially cancelled.

Not though the All Blacks game against England on November 7th. But I can't see the ABs wanting to fly to England to play a single international at Twickenham then fly home and a lengthy quarantine. Total ***king mess.

With eight nations involved in the November tournament, with South Africa and Argentina badly affected by COVID and not wanting to play in 2020, where does that leave the ABs?

How many AB tests will there be in 2020 and involving how many different sides?

So there fuck knows, ten games Vs wallabies might be all we're getting! Unless World Rugby pay for some of the island teams, who's players are mostly NH, to play here.
