Great tackle from booth. Rumbles coz the crusaders can't handle losing.

Actually thought that was the kind of cynicism we can all get behind - start a fight and bait the other team into conceding the match winning penalty

Yeah. Was a little concerned when the Canes players piled in that the ref would reverse. Idiots.

Great game. Congratulations to the Canes overcoming such a terrible refereeing display. Deserved winners.

I’m surprised the Saders only lost by 2 with the amount of calls the Canes got...

Yeah. Agree. With that sort of support you'd have thought your Sith would have cruised it.

Canes' coaches must be doing something right coz they're a rather mediocre looking bunch of individuals who are creating good results

Yep. The likes of PUJ, Jordie, Aumua and Laumape not only playing well but developing & maturing as players. I'd kinda written off Laumape for the AB midfield but he's been a revelation these last few games. Agree on TJP but he's playing bloody well IMHO.

From an AB perspective, along with Ritchie & Jordan being on fire, it's good to see.

Still need a new (really good and big) lock.
    Not seeing any.

@Machpants terrible outcome for Laumape who has looked increasingly impressive during SRA

@canefan he has been in some career best form alright, although his chat after the game last week was a bit odd, bit of a chip.

Never like to see someone miss out through injury.

Maybe he is using the perceived slights as fuel? He wouldn't be the first athlete to do that

@canefan difference between using a slight as fuel and speaking about it the way he did, IMO didnt come over too well.

Yeah, maybe he should stick to letting his onfield play do the talking

No. Lots of articles refer to it though

'Let those people keep disrespecting my name, because I'm going to turn up every week'

'Let those people keep disrespecting my name, because I'm going to turn up every week'

Hurricanes centre Ngani Laumape fired off at his critics following his game-breaking performance against the Blues in Super Rugby Aotearoa.

I didn't think much of it at the time. May not have used the correct words. He has his critics and he answered them. Disrespect might be a bit strong

I don't mind Ngani talking himself up, I just wish the person who disrespected him didn't do it just before a Blues game.

So looking through the Hurricanes squad list on their website it looks like Danny Toala is the only one they have left that can play second five. Cue Billy Proctor (or, perhaps, some other relatively obsure Wellingtonian) to be named in that position!

@Tim Possibly but I try to erase the BoP performances from my memory! I seem to recall that he was mainly a fullyback for the Steamers with maybe a game or two on the wing? He is listed as a fullback on the Hurricanes website if that is any indication

I'd move Barrett to 12. This is a golden opportunity to play games at a high level in what I believe is his best position.
