@KiwiMurph Rangi got my email 😉

Best Blues starting backline in my view.

    Nock is better than Christie.

Crap, I thought with Nock available he would automatically be starting. So from 10-15 it is the right choice.

Another email this week to Rangi

This is the first time I'm reading in a Blues' media release that Perofeta's injury is season-ending. Bit of mixed messaging, too, as at the bottom, they don't list him among the players with a season-ending injury.

"Season-ending" could just be for SRA, and that season is quickly coming to a conclusion so their definition has changed. It's hard to know as none of the teams are forthcoming with specific details. Are some of these injured players also out for the NPC? Who knows.

Thomson and Karpik were ineffectual last week. I was hoping Ah Kuoi would be back, but nope.

    Unavailable for selection:
Angus Ta’avao (quad), Naitoa Ah Kuoi (concussion), Aidan Ross (calf), Tiaan Falcon (knee).
Season ending: Atu Moli (hips), Laghlan McWhannell (knee), Luke Jacobson (hand), Michael Allardice (shoulder), Nathan Harris (shoulder), Ryan Coxon (thumb), Sam McNicol (ankle).

Thomson was useless last week. Didn't pay mind to Karpik. That injury list is too long.

@Yeetyaah Based on the options available Nel would offer more physicality.

I expected Norris would come in as the reserve LH prop.

Weird 6 and 7 for the blues. Would've thought they would want to minimise disruption when Lamborn comes on after 5 minutes.

Huh, I missed that. I guess they rate Dalton’s turnover work?

@KiwiMurph Hats off to Rangi for finally realising that First Five is Beaudy's best position.

@African-Monkey nah Blues fans need something to gripe about and the Chiefs need a win so would be great.

    @Yeetyaah

I can’t believe I’m writing this, but I want BB to cut us up (at least a little bit) - if he is still a world class 10 he should Be able to make this Chiefs team look a bit silly (at times). NZ rugby will be in a better place if he suddenly turns his form around. Hopefully he’ll drive his team around a bit and show that he should be left at 10.

Best case, he plays really well and we sneak a win based on a late Cruden droppie.

He hasn't exactly shone when moving to 10 the last couple of second halves...

I don't have any problem with Papali'i at 7, so nothing weird there.
What is weird is Gibson at 6 ...
It would have been more logic to have Papali'i at 6 and Gibson (or Lamborn) at 7.
