Ridiculous that you can get a card (in this case red for a second yellow), when an attacking player takes the penalty so quickly that you don't have time to get back 10 metres.
That's the same as every quick tap though, it was just a combined unfortunate set of circumstances in this case.
It’s an interesting one. Refs rarely give penalty tries when offside players make tackles in that situation (I’ve always thought they should). Pretty big call from the ref, but I’d say technically correct.
Tough one for sure. Would McKenzie have definitely scored? I'm not sure. Certainly a yellow card though, and then the "unluckiness" of it being the same player comes in to make it a red rather than a yellow.
