Crusaders 2020

The former Highlander thought his playing career was done, despite spending a few months in Christchurch for Crusaders pre-season earlier this year.
Ainley and his family are moving home to Nelson in a few weeks, having spent about a year in the North Island.
"No, I'm not playing for Ta$man. This will basically be it,'' Ainley said before the question could even be asked.
"I say it will be me done, but I've said I'm out about three or four times now. So we will see what happens. I will see if the phone rings.''

Jordan Taufua is back in Chch, apparently he has left Leicester maybe looking for a Gig could slot in for Grace nicely.

@Stargazer How can the Crusaders possibly justify signing up any extra players on top of the contracted squad plus the ring ins they already have? The Hurricanes have just ditched Carlos Spencer from their coaching lineup citing uncertain financial reasons, surely the same situation must exist down in Christchurch.

@Higgins They could as injury cover for Cullen Grace, and - I assume - only for as long as Grace is unavailable. I doubt he would earn much, and I doubt even more he would care if it's only for SRA. A bit like Carter, who also - apparently - is playing for very little money.

@Chris He only just went back to Leicester, two weeks ago. If he's in Chch, that would be really quick and he must still be in isolation.

@Chris He was in town (Chch) recently. And then he went to Wellington, did some coaching with Terence Hepetema there, and then back to Auckland. And then he tried to get back to England, but miscommunication from Air NZ made him miss his flight. That was on 16 June according to his twitter. I think he arrived in England a few days later.
