The draws link is handy to find who is playing in other grades. I'm working out where all of my Te Rapa club's players went to from last year.

It seems so. The big question is why?

What's his contract situation? Decided not to renew? That would be the obvious one. He has gone from AB apprentice to hardly playing through little fault of his own.

@Bovidae isn't Weber only around until the end of next year? surely TTT would back himself being the starter next year and beyond for the Chiefs. Wonder if any other teams have tried wooing him, only team I can think of would be the Blues.

If we haven't, we probably should be.

TBF Nock has been O.K. and improving, but we still need another.

@Yeetyaah Or TTT just isn't good enough? He didn't get much game time off the bench at the Canes either.

Good enough to be an AB, but it does seem a bit strange.

OK, you can forget about the conspiracy theories. I was speaking to someone who played club rugby with him last Sat. He is returning from an injury via club rugby. I didn't ask about the injury but I was told that he looked sharp in his time on the field. So more a case of not being on the "official injured list" but not fit enough to play SRA at the moment.

Gatland responds: 'I wanted to thank Joe because it saved me having to do a team talk'

Gatland responds: 'I wanted to thank Joe because it saved me having to do a team talk'

As if the Chiefs needed any further motivation for this weekend's match against the Crusaders in Christchurch, coach Warren Gatland didn't have to look far to find it.

    Crusaders $1.23
    Chiefs $3.85

Chiefs have moved out to $4.30.

    They're $1.83 with 12.5 points head start.

Seem like generous odds for man-for-man what look quite evenly matched teams on paper.

@Chris-B Chiefs' duds at lock and hooker are a major handicap.

Hope Taukei'aho has a big game off the bench, and throws well!

Alaimalo ruled out due to sickness.

Nanai-Seturo comes into the starting XV.
