I didn't think they would use a Sunday afternoon slot as that isn't really prime time TV viewing.

Also they need to co-ordinate with charter flights to and from the cities.

    @Bovidae

The two games every weekend are likely to be played on Saturday night and late Sunday afternoon. With no crowds allowed, kick-off times will be decided by the broadcaster.
Sunday afternoon is attractive to broadcaster Sky as most people are at home and there are few distractions. Games in Australia have kicked off late on Sunday before and rated well.

That Blues vs. Hurricanes should be a blinder, but the teams will probably be pretty rusty ...

Agreed, every game is one I want to watch too (unlike say any Oz game or any Crusaders v Oz/SA teams 😉 ).

@Toddy Not ideal for me as I play sport on Sunday afternoons. A 4 pm KO would have been better.

But earlier games allows the away team to return after the game at a reasonable hour.

I will be interested to see what plans are in place for the charter flights as the away team will be disadvantaged if they go directly from the airport to the stadium as stated. There will be more flexibility with arrival times so you would hope they arrive at a similar time relative to kick-off for the preparation.

Hurricanes have a dream draw. Bye in the middle and tougher games up first. Still 8 tough games though.

Costs still being worked out according to the news.

Albany might be cheaper to open than Eden Park.

Albany makes sense. It's always a nice surface. I don't know where else you would play in Christchurch though.

Rugby park is the only other serious option. If there are no crowds, it's probably cheaper.

She is so precious its crazy, and that was a terrible outburst from her.

Back on stadia, I don't see they can't they have fans back in. Limited capacity to half, enforce distancing at turnstiles , food queues etc.

5,000 people at a stadium that used to hold 12k is no more chance of being a cluster than 100ppl inside a restaurant

Just open the stadium back up. Have a few changes like

-Infrared temperature reading for anyone entering the stadium
-Maybe no food sales. Let people bring their own food
-Advice the vulnerable to stay at home. And anyone not feeling good
-Full refund for people who wake up not feeling good
-Advice wearing a mask but don't make it compulsory

This flu or whatever it is doesn't seem too bad. No worse than others where the economy and life wasn't closed down

Life is about risks. Protect the vulnerable and sick but let the rest get on with life

Where have you been for the last 4 months?
