Golden opportunity under heavy skies on a juicy pitch. Time to grab it with both hands, it would be great to bowl them out inside a day

I am very much not a fan of bowling first. We'll need to get them for 200 odd. I hope the pitch is seaming like a motherfucker.

To be fair bar or bowl first doesn’t matter, what ever you do just do it fucken well.
There’s plenty of impressive averages in that Indian team though some are from guys who haven’t played a lot. Let’s hope they ‘enjoy’ the NZ test cricket experience.. and hope it’s windy as fuck when it’s their turn to bowl.. ideally sometime later today!

Are you watching? If not there is heavy cloud cover and it's been raining this morning. It will be swinging and seaming like a MF

I really hope Jamieson has a great game. Timmy is near the end and no one has put their hand up to join the top group. If he can keep his line and length they will have to work hard to overcome his extra bounce

@canefan I agree Tim is on the tail end of his career but he was good in Australia - and aside from the mare in the 20/20 series his form has been pretty solid. I think there's a wee bit of life in him yet, but fully agree we need new blood.

Wags has a better average than Timmy or Trent 🥰🥰🥰. Apparently he is the fastest left hand bowler to 200 wickets ever

How green does this deck look?

Haha, Doull stirring the Hesson/Taylor pot

A bit slow. Indians look to have too much time and we haven't consistently pitched full enough

Have we got a thread going about Radio Sport not getting cricket rights for next year onward?

The basin always looks super green but never does as much as you'd think and then just gets better and better. Bowling first is definitely a good option.

Jamieson bowling his maiden test over, already looking dangerous. He almost got Pujara. And it's a maiden 👏👏

Got to be very close to NZ's all time team now.

Jamieson starts well - not too far from knocking Pujara over with one delivery. Beat the bat and perilously close to off stump.

Jamieson has Pujara caught behind in his third ever test over. Giving the batsmen very little

    Very nice ball.

Puts a dent into Rapido's 2nd change stats!

Into the afternoon and it appears the cloud will hang around for the day. Good conditions for bowling

Why have we not had him in tests earlier? He has been aiming at top of off stump more often and more accurately than any NZ bowler in a while (neither Southee or Boult do that as a stock weapon). In tests that will get you consistent results.
