@98blueandgold that's about it mate. From 2014 (2015 was a dream I thought would never come true), it's been a great ride full of out of the box tactics and good old southern pride. Made a few all blacks too!

Now it's like 2009 or some such but looking forward to some innovation from an inexperienced and under powered team.

    Still unbeaten this year though!

If there's one team that is in rebuild mode, it's the Highlanders. If you change the usual hope/expectation from "reaching the play-offs" to "watching the team and individual players grow/improve" during the season, you can still get a lot of positives out of the season (and less disappointment). I think there are some very exciting young prospects in this squad and just watching them play will be fun, even if the good results don't come.

I'm also sure Tony Brown will have a huge impact and some tricks up his sleeve. Who knows, the team may surprise us.

    Glass half full.

    Mounga is #1

Barrett isn't in the country. and it's questionable

    the others? come on

If Barrett was in the country he'd be #2 - no question. But, Ioane is surely next in line - at least until Havili or Cruden prove to be revelations on Saturday night!

That team looks decent enough for the first hit out.

Jona Nareki to spring a couple of surprises when the Sharks are expecting Tevita Li!

    Can full!

@Chris-B shit I was wondering why I'm so optimistic and thinking it looks a bloody sight better than what people are saying... you've cracked it! No Li!

As a Blues fan, you may have forgotten this, but yes, winning games is what it is all about

That's right - when Blues smashed Rebels in round 1 a few years back it was an awesome season...

    Oh wait...

    Who called that line out?

Way to put some pressure on the overthrow.

Landers get out of jail with a turnover.

Landers get 3, but they’re terribly inaccurate so far.

    Scrum looks ok here though.

Gardner's dreaming giving that second scrum penalty to the Clan.

I thought the angle of the LH looked dodgy? It’ll be interesting to see if Gardner picks it up next time

Yeah, it looked pretty dodgy on the replay.
