Well ... Piers didn't miss:
Piers is over the top, really putting the boot in. It’s kinda mean. But I’d be lying if I said it didn’t make me smile. And it’s hard to disagree with.

There isn't enough money in the world that would allow me to deal with the British Tabloid press, and that goes double for being a royal.
If i had a cool 30 million in the bank, and a smoking hot wife, I'd piss off somewhere as well.
Yep. Throw in what happened to his Mum I can understand wanting to back out of things a bit.

I reckon Harry is a good guy who has found a partner with similar goals around philanthropy and making a difference. The departure from the old firm isnt a surprise given his loathing of the press etc. He's done formal stuff for years so I can understand if he's had enough.
Not enough detail about the funding etc to judge if they are taking the piss.I reckon the queen will see this as him turning away from his service/duty. When that's been an absolute bedrock of her rule, even if things are changing quickly around the monarchy. I can totally emphasize with her being gutted by that.
Oh and if it was legit dropped out of the blue that is def a dick move.

She was silly enough to try to use him.
Can’t blame them for what they’ve done. I undoubtedly would have done the same.

Apparently they dropped it the day they did to overshadow Kate's 38th birthday, which is super petty if true.
I must be getting old, I agree with Piers Morgan.

The older I get, the more I agree with Piers as well. Weird.
Apparently the Sun had gotten wind of the story, so they were going to run it which is why they released it so quick - to make sure it came from them.
I don't buy the spiteful stuff (perhaps, naively) and think this makes a lot of sense.

I'm fully on board with Piers too.

On that boat too. Frightening times indeed.

TBH I find Piers' obsession with Meghan a bit weird. He's written countless hit pieces on her and has now gone into overdrive.
Also this
Sums up how much cricism she's had since marrying in to the royal family. With no protection from the Queen either. Racism or not I can see why she and Harry have had enough.
Plenty of rumours circulating but with nothing confirmed I'd take them all with a fairly large grain of salt given how many people like Piers want to paint them in as bad a light as possible.

It seems that Meghan Markle really, really hates Britain. She has been telling all her cerebrity friends and US journalistic contacts how awful the country is. Clearly someone who loathes the country to the core of her being can't represent it on the global stage. She has never really bothered to engage with British culture or the UK way of life. It takes some ego to spend eighteen moths in an institution over 1000 years old and then think it is all about you. Her rudeness to often lowly paid Royal Household staff has become infamous. By going back to US/Canada (and the woke culture she revels in) , she is doing herself, the Royal Family and the UK a favour. Awful woman.
She has put Prince Harry in an impossible position, choosing between his wife or his country, his child or his duty as a member of the Royal Family. Feel a bit sorry for him, but I suspect lots of people who care for him deeply warned him about Meghan Markle.

@No-Quarter Don't think they were surprised by it at all. One moment Harry is reading statements written by Meghan PR team, the next he is crying to his father and saying he wants to do his duty by the Crown. What seems to have brought matters to a boil was the Queen's decision to move to a more streamlined Royal family. Meghan thought Archie should have a Royal title and full honours when it is George and Charlotte who are the heir and the spare.
This from Boris Johnson ex-mistress and a friend of Prince Charles' gives you a hint of what the UK establishment are saying:
