@mariner4life I have some of these which I use at the gym on ambient mode, as I get nauseated without the outside sound. They work a treat. Would probably actually work with just one in too.

i found some really good ones, that guys training for triathlons seem happy to wear on the bike (which still seems madness to me). So they'll do.

Kids have got a playstation. so i guess i got a playstation.

One day of work to get through, then christmas celebrations begin with Wigilia at the in-laws.

Snap me too. Yesterday and today, "working from home".

Annoying thing is, to keep my status on Skype for Business green and not "away" or "off line" which just looks bad, I have to keep pressing my keyboard before 15 minutes or up or it will lock automatically.

And before anyone says change the settings, I can't as our desktop guys have it locked down and I would have to hack the registry to unlock it.

I may work in IT but I've been a Manager way too long to be able to that sort of shite any longer.

I will say "Happy Holidays" to all you Ferners and hopefully 2020 will be a better year.

    Similar here...
I work in State Government here in NSW and we are the same, if you are working and not on leave - and our official close down started on Monday - then you are meant to do a full days work or at least be present for a full day. That's 8 working hours plus the mandatory 30 minute lunch break for me but at least I started around 7 am so I can finish 3:30 but I'll stick it out to 4-4:30.

I've told all my few staff working today that they can finish early between 3 to 3:30 and I'll just keep an eye on things for a bit after that.

Plus I see my Executive Director keeps coming online in Skype so I don't want to look like I'm taking the piss today.

Update on the Kamado front. Crisis averted, my nephew came over and manhandled the thing into my brother’s work van (the one place he will never look - Baldrick level cunning that is!) and drove it back to his place. The only damage is to my dignity, seeing the ease with which a 20something loads a 100kg box into a van. Oh well, there’s always wine.

Christmas with my family this year. Deeply regret this decision.

At least when the in laws are pissing you off you can take heart in knowing you aren’t really related to them.

    GFYS.

What do you do when your own family piss you off? Asking for a friend.
