Since you're a bit of a fan of David - here's a nice story for you. Although he's credited to Nelson College as an AB, he originally went to Motueka High School (his family is from Motueka).
My cousin's daughter plays rugby for MHS and this year David was the Guest of Honour at their rugby prize giving. Apparently he gave one of his AB jerseys to Motueka HS - which is pretty cool given he's presumably only got five of them.

@Machpants More or less all awards have gone to the nominees that I expected to win, although I hoped Ash Dixon would win the Tom French Memorial Mฤori player of the year award. Ardie's three awards no surprise; he fully deserves them!

Crusaders lost twice and drew twice, so while a good effort, not exactly a vintage Crusaders season.
I hope it wasn't that they three-peated, because that's not "this year".
Meanwhile both the Mako and the Canterbury women were unbeaten (Mako the first team to be unbeaten in 12 years). And the Mako won a title that has been basically an Auckland/Canterbury hegemony for 30 years!
Shit judging IMO.
