@No-Quarter I missed the Pope drop, but I'm guessing it's not as bad as the one that Denly just dropped off Kane.

You'd get abused for dropping that one in tenth grade! 🙂

Cricinfo says....So, so village. The worst drop by an England fielder since Mike Gatting on the India tour in 1992-93 (YouTube it...)

    So I did.

@Crucial Gatting's is marginally worse - not improved by him glancing up as though "the sun was in my eyes".

I'd imagine The Sun was giving him a big boot in the arse the next day!

You'd need a big boot for his big arse.

These two showing why they top the alltime stats lists for NZ batting.
Hope they take the chance to add to the books.

I don't know what's worse. That fielding or the fact that we clearly got thumped despite probably having to be dismissed about twice for each wicket.

I think Taylor is very close to surpassing the 7000 mark in tests if you can find a TV

Found the scorecard for that craptravaganza.

Looks like we were at risk of losing by more than Pakistan managed to score in either innings at one point.

Looking through that lineup it would be a contender for one of the worst in recent memory. Bowling lineup was okay, but the batting, and top order especially just dire.

Just looked at the scoring chart for Kane this innings and amazingly he has only scored 2 runs in the point to third man sector

    29

sing with me now "one of those things is not like the others, one of those things is not the same..."

we, as supporters, really did earn this little purple patch.

"Wagner pounds his beat to good effect"

and i chortle every time i misread it.

    So effectively 110/2 at lunch.

    62 overs available (rain permitting)

Another 100 runs in 30 odd overs sees it well safe

I don't know what is funnier, the original line or you pointing out the bleeding obvious. 🙂

Only Rossco (for himself) and Danny V. would make our current team from that 11.

Despite that all of Guppy, The Tosh, Fulton and Flynn opened in tests - I think Jeet would still fend them off!

Edit - BMac opened as well, of course and Jeet wouldn't fend the later BMac off.

Kane nearly ran himself out and couldn't have blamed Taylor for that.
