These signings also mean that these players won't be available as injury cover in case NZ franchises lose players to the injury ward.
And if there aren't many Japanese test players in the Sunwolves squad there is no justification to keep them in Super Rugby. SANZAAR's decision was correct.

Just found this little discussion starter on Reddit - John Mitchell level with JK!

@Daffy-Jaffy How old is that? Surely Scott Robertson should be in those stats (with a high/the highest win%)?

@Stargazer It was posted 3 hours ago. I just now researched its origin and it is from a 2017 artilcle on Fox sports about Nick Styles being the worst super coach ever. So its really only now relevant to past coaches.

Does anyone know if there are going to be new Super Rugby jerseys coming out this year? Doesn't seem to be much in store at the moment. History suggests they bring out a new one every 2 years.
-
@Canes4life See my post for the Chiefs. Dec 1 for their new jersey.

Without looking I am assuming the Blues are paying less to win the comp than any team from Aussie?? It's Aussie that don't look flash for Super Rugby... I think

The inclusion of Aaron Carroll in the list of Blues' rookies seems to confirm that he is the replacement of Baden Wardlaw.
.It looks like the Canes rookies didn't get the "wear a team shirt" memo :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_closed_eyes:
