That’s awesome , I hope the auction goes well . Must have been fun getting it all together.
Also I forwarded the story to Mrs Jegga and to give her some perspective and pointed out I am extremely restrained in comparison to )what she refers unkindly to as hoarding.

I have the old NPC trading cards series from mid 90s. Got huge amount of them signed by all the ABs. Pretty stoled at a youngin.
I had a south African jersey that Taine Randall donated to a raffle. Was bobby skinstads.
Was Gromsman for a mate last year wanted to get him a cool present. I gave Brad Weber some help in some non rugby stuff in exchange for a signed jersey. We just had to supply the jersey. One of the other groomsman sorted that part. Find out later my mate sent two jerseys on the off chance they would both come back signed. Haha so my mate got a framed jersey and so did the other groomsman. Well played.
Ohhhhh I also have all the giant head all blacks from caltex. Think it was from 95/96 ish era.
Probably sitting on a gold mine.

I saw that story on the TV news. An impressive collection.
I've mentioned previously that I have a few limited edition rugby jerseys but I also have a few other rugby-related memorabilia. One of those is a 2013 Super Rugby winners mug.
I also have a box full of old rugby programmes, dating back to the early 1980s when I started going to Waikato games as a young kid. Many of those have assorted autographs. One is from David Campese when he was part of the Aust U21 team that played a curtain-raiser.
My father gave me a few souvenir match programmes and tour programmes from the 1959 Lions tour to NZ and 1960 ABs tour to SA. These are 100-page programmes published by the Evening Post.

I found my original 1924 Invincibles AB team photo a few months ago. Had been missing for 15 years during one of my many house moves. Was left to me by my grandmother as her brother is in it and I’m a rugby nut of course. So happy to have found it and will never be for sale.

@Bovidae Got a photo of the champions mug?
I've got a bunch of Chiefs and 3 old All Blacks jerseys. I think I have 11 Chiefs jerseys, most collectible one being the 1998-1999 one with the blue and maroon on it. Got a random windbreaker from 1996 with the 1996 Chiefs squad's signatures on it. Also a legit Chiefs heritage jersey with the number on the arm. Got 2 long sleeve All Blacks Steinlager era jerseys, and one NZRFU Centenary All Blacks Jersey.

Do you sometime dress your Jehovah's Witness "friends" in it and watch games together?

Did you buy this as a promotional item or did it come from a player? Don't they hand these out to the players after winning?
Yes, they are what the players receive. I was given it by someone connected to one of the Chiefs coaches. They didn't want it, so I said, why not.

Big bump.
One of the jobs I did over the Christmas break was to repaint my Waikato outdoor furniture, which was showing the signs of age after being exposed to the weather for nearly 20 years. These were made from the old Rugby Park terraces before the rebuild of Waikato Stadium and sold to the public. I know both Mitchell and Gatland had/have some too.

Hi, quick general question(s) for the Kiwi sports junkie collector… is there a website or blog dedicated to NZ sports collectibles?
My main interest is paper — mostly photos, prints, magazines, trading cards, programs… especially rugby, horsies and athletics.
I’m curious about what’s out there, values etc, and tips/leads. Maybe there’s a thread here, but I can’t find one — and I’m not sure where the thread would belong — sports or off-topic? As I say, my main interest is in Kiwi sports antiques.
If all I see replying here is shrugged shoulders, I might start a thread myself…

I don’t want to start one if one already exists. Plus my finer point — does it belong in sports or off-topic? I suspect the former, but maybe a mod would prefer it in the latter. In any case, I’ll roll up my sleeves and start posting some of my roadshow…
