Listen, that’s the way we play footy, I’m not going to go to a kick-and-defend game. Call me naive but that’s not what I’m going to do,” Cheika said.

“I’d rather win it our way or no way. That’s the way Aussies want us to play.”

What a moron, Ozzies want you to win you self centred ego maniac fluffybunny!

@Machpants win smart. That's what we used to do when our forwards were hanging on by their fingernails.

Now we've got a forward pack with a bit of grunt, we're pissing it away

    Money quote

Cheika also said he had "no relationship" with Rugby Australia chief executive Raelene Castle and chairman Cameron Clyne.

In his defence: Castle and Clyne don't seem to have a relationship with anyone in Rugby.

I'm sure if they had the cash, they'd have terminated their relationship long ago.

Anyone with a brain would've insisted on KPIs to maintain his job.

Still got rookie coaches at our provinces.
Club Rugby is barely above Park footy level.
Super squads are going to be tested again with key departures.
    U20 players aren't ready.
    Delicate time.

McKenzie was reportedly very poor at man management. Didn't care what happened of the park as long as nobody heard about it. Hence the Dublin incident

Why is Englands game plan devoid of usingb2 of their weapons: Watson and Tuilagi? The latter was pretty much anonymous for most of the game.

I'm hoping it is a dry powder exercise

Speaking to Tony Brown the other week and he said player management and the ability to instill belief is the biggest part of coaching at that level. There's plenty of analysis and ability to coach, but that's what separates coaches at Test level.

I don't Krusty was particularly good at any part of a coaches core functions by the the looks of things . Just another bluffer that somehow got the top job.

I think he had to be reasonably able when you look at his achievements in Europe and Support Rugby. Record win over the All Blacks. Rwc2015 final and a rugby championship.

But the successes are outweighed by the failures, and that's coaching

Big, mobile, skilled pack goes a long way to making a coach look good. As soon as the Waratahs didn't have a South African blindside the picture looked very different.

A record win is simple enough with an extra man on the field with natural running rugby talent.

No, no no and no. Basing your cv around what you've done in the NH is what I think of as the Elsoming . Just because you've looked good in one hemisphere doesn't mean you'll go well in the other.
