I usually get my picks wrong so now we will definitely win. Done on purpose.

Went with my heart - Australia/NZ/Wales/Japan
With my head - England/Ireland/Wales or France, doesn't matter π/Japan
All NH SF πππ
As the Sunwolves play Super rugby, and Japan's coaches are Kiwis, we'll claim Japan as an honorary Southern Hemisphere team.

Gone with the favourites but am hoping we see Oz tip up England and/or Japan get past SA. Not sure the French hate the Welsh enough to get up and win? Really hoping we aren't the upset but recent Irish wins aside we are all over them with knockout experience.
Shit just got real though. Knockout rugby is both magical and sphincter tightening!!

I'm taking my 10yr old to a mates pub to watch the 2 QF's on Sat - 6pm til 11.30pm our time. First taste of a proper pub session for "live" sport. He'll either love it or he'll be mentally scarred for life.
Next best thing to being there. Nothing like living and dying on every move with a couple hundred of your new best mates π

My brother flies in Saturday and wants to find a pub to watch QF's in. Only issue I have with that is he is a prodigious drinker and if we get anywhere early enough to get a prime position I'll be comatose before kick-off.
He normally only visits once a year but this is the 4th time since Christmas and as a result my Dr is very concerned about my liver function test results.
I hope the AB's appreciate the sacrifices I make on their behalf.

Went for the convicts, but thatβs probably wishful thinking.
Do you feel unclean?
no more than when I support the six fingered lot in Super rugby.

It's funny as when I first read that, I thought that was a bit mean about the Highlanders (thinking you were referencing Southland)

I'm equal opportunity inclusive with my insults. Consider it a reference to the entire South Island.

Nearly 3 years ago, when the boy was 12, I took him up on a camping trip at a mate's farm about 3 hours west of Sydney. We were sleeping down the bottom paddock next to the creek.
After mustering cattle and hooning around in the back of the farm ute, we ate dinner at the local pub. Both the adults got shitfaced while the boy looked on. We then attempted to run back out to the farm (only a few km) before the cold got to us, and we called his sister to pick us up.
Back at the farm, we decided it would be a good idea if I drove my SUV from the homestead back down to the tent, with my mate on the bonnet of the car to spot objects that I couldn't from the driver's seat - the paddock being about waist-high in grass.
The boy's education as a man really started at that point.
