Not according to reports. His agent apparently signed something which means QC is out of pocket $200K if he renegs, and the owner of the club (Toulon? Yes, Toulon) said he'll come after the ARU if he needs to - not because of the money, but just because he's a billionaire and could probably buy the ARU if he wanted. See below - this was April. Think Quade had cold feet after McKenzie left, and Foley started getting game time. Plus all the "ITS A NSW CONSPIRACY!" shit flying around.

There were a LOT of angry QLDers unprepared to accept McKenzie was anything but a saint.

Anyway, the word is that Quade is going to honour his deal and play 2 years in France. He meets the 7 year rule but not the 60 Test rule (58 caps I think) so would be toast as far as Wallaby selection goes.

Fair enough. I hadn't been following it too closely since the talk was that he was trying to get out of the contract, Toulon's owner packed a hissy and they were looking for a replacement. Sounds like the rich douche got his way then.

Like I said - he could probably buy the ARU with his pocket money 😉 so given the lack of minutes for Quade lately, it may not be a surprise that the ARU were willing to say "oh darn! We forgot to give Quade another 2 caps" or whatever it is they need.

Ok so I've watched the 2011 final once and the 2015 final four times. Been a rugby beer and BBQ day all day.

Watched the replay, Hanson has ice in his veins. Barret scores the try and Hanson displays all the emotion of a man who found out MacDonalds have taken his eighth favourite hamburger off the menu.

Old blokes who enjoy their photography just love it when they jag a shot such as that - splendid work by the photographer, with the most fortuitous timing.

I checked thinking much the same as everyone else. It was just brilliant timing and execution.

Genia 35 mins in, clear yellow card. Owens seemed keen on no cards...for them anyway. Could have given 5 that I've seen so far.

Actually at the Ben Smith incident, after seeing it on the big screen, he was talking penalty only to being with. So he didn't really want to go with any cards. Not sure what swayed him as my feed cut out around that point and I haven't seen a replay.

Watching now, we outflanked the Wallabies at will in the first half. They always had a good second line set, but we made massive yards with simple passing. England found the same space for the first 10 minutes of their game, and then stopped going there for some reason. Hanson thought this one out beautifully, and Smith/Carter/Smith worked it to perfection. Aus did very well to be as close as they were at the break.

Two crucial turnovers within 10 metres of our line, from memory. Fardy one and Pocock the other - lucky too as Pocock looked to be in from the side.

We got the rub of the green off Owens in the first half, but jesus at the start of the 2nd the Wallabies got some very handy calls as well, and that saved them from us applying even more pressure. I'll hear no talk of the ref this week (not that the aussie blokes here are whinging, but I've seen a bit, from Facebook, and some "reputable" news outlets").

Haha Kafe, red card, that's the first time I've ever heard you go off the deep end. If Owens had gone with his first option on penalty only, Kafe would have lost his shit.
