Can't believe this. I have 2 tickets to Auckland, return flights from Melbourne and accomodation all booked as well as domestic return flights for my brother for what was going to be the greatest surprise birthday for him ever. Hoping credit card insurance covers something. Bloody devastating, I wonder if slipknot m8ght come on their own?

Out of cairns you get fuck all option

I can think of 3 international bands that have cancelled on me over the years, including one I was flying to Aust to see. Tickets will always be refunded, as will accommodation. I actually used my insurance on my credit card to claim my money back for the flight and received more than I paid.

A pity the way you can use their credit sucks balls. The last lot I had I wound up using towards business class to NZ because it was otherwise impossible to use up and about to expire.

3 years ago I saw the Stones. Then 18 months ago I saw AC/DC - which was extremely fortunate as I wasn't to know that Brian was going to move on. Now both were totally amazing, and a real tick off the list sort of things.
But just this morning, I've gone and topped it.
Metallica are playing HK next Jan - done. I've seen them twice before, but it's been a lot time between drinks - Newstead was on bass when I saw them last!
And then also - Guns N FUCKING ROSES!! Singapore in Feb. The old crew - Axl, Slash, Duff and some other bogans. As a caveat, I still expect this concert to quite possibly suck shit. Or Axl and Slash to fall out before than and the whole thing to be tinned. But hey, it's guns and fucking roses man!!!
There is no purpose to this post, other than to show off.
to bring this thread full circle
Gunners here next November. Tickets on sale this Thursday.
Yay or nay?
Mrs Mariner and I thinking of taking the kids....

They were excellent in the nations capital three years back. Axels voice was straining a bit to be fair but that's only a minor gripe.
I won't bother seeing them again though ( if they even make it in the first place )
-
@mariner4life absolutely. Bring the kids.
It’s a show, not a concert. And axl voice is toast.

I need to bogan up my kids more. Little fuckers request Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran in the car deliberately just to piss me off.
It works.

Strangely enough this was on TB the other night. He was basically deaf and struggled too much on stage but a new medical procedure has fixed it (it's a bit secret squirrel at the moment it seems).
Anyway Angus called him and asked if he wanted to tour and they are, although I think Covid is messing it up a bit. They are calling it a 20/21 year for dates for the tour but actual dates and venues aren't announced yet I don't think.
