RWC: Georgia v Uruguay (Pool D)
-
@Stargazer Yeah that was very soft.
-
@Stargazer disagree on that, you've already posted about Peyper messing up, that wasn't head/neck.
The one just now was stupid though, I reckon he had every right to tackle that guy. It's just like when you see guys get snotted as they're attempting to regain a ball they've fumbled.
-
I reckon Barnes is a lock for the final if England aren’t there. He’s been the best of the “senior” refs.
-
“Water break”
What is this? U10 rugby?
-
@Billy-Tell Mandatory in case a certain temparature is reached, I think. Player welfare. Preventing dehydration etc.

That’s why there are reserves. Just thinks it kills the advantage for a fitter team.
-
Georgia should win this comfortably if they take them on up front. Fiji take note.
-
@Billy-Tell They can't replace every player though. I think it's common sense. Players sweat a lot in high temperatures. Dehydration in itself is bad for your health, but it also increases the risk of other injuries (it affects your coordination, for example).

Haha! Oh sure, the reserves are there for if you send players off to hospital unconscious or severely ill from dehydration or heatstroke.

Ok be a dick.Yeah I'm the dick because an absolute common sense water break in very hot conditions should only be done in u10 rugby.

Don't be a dick, they should just get fitter.

This is a good contest so far.
-
Georgia's defence from set piece exposed again.

Yeah ok I accept your point.

Back to the rugby ...
... 12-7 Half time.Nice try Los Teros.
Had a chance to make it 12-10 but muffed the penalty.
Pretty even from what I've seen. Comms suggesting the Adzes and Ashvilis had the better of the half though.
Agree with whoever said the Georgies should just take them on in the forwards. Massive size difference.

Interesting that these 2 teams both have genuinely good home-grown, fully pro, 9s and 10s.
Each team has 2 x 9s and 1 x10 playing in Top 14.
Often teams at this level have a tier 1 first-five.
I remember when Georgia only had a pack, then a pack plus a 9, the quality gradually getting out to the high numbers.
Edit. Actually Arata doesn't appear to be a Top 14 pro, but is keeping Top 14 pro Ormachaea on the bench.
