But.
Was carbon copy of a PK against Wales, so no point banging the T1 bias drum for that one. Been consistent.Eh? I never said the ref was biased against Georgia, just wrong on that penalty and others. The same by refs in other games.

Would like to have seen a replay on the hit on Adams?
-
Great driving maul from Wales
Deft from Biggar but knocked on from L Williams
-
Yellow for Georgia
-
Why is a collapse a couple of metres out only a penalty at one end and a yellow at the other? Both mauls made good ground?
-
@Stargazer said in RWC: Wales v Georgia (Pool D):
Hmmm
No collapse and that would have been a try regardless of what the ref ruled

Because Wales turned the maul over and were advancing away from their goal line. Ref got it wrong

Except that shouldn't make a difference. He had ruled out a try being probable given the number of defenders around. So all you are left with is 2 collapsed mauls.

Yep. Got it wrong twice.
On his decision, Wales had repelled the Georgian maul and was advancing.
If Wales hadn't collapsed the maul - his interpretation - then Georgia would have been further away from the Wales try line.
The opposite when Wales were advancing towards the Georgian line
-
Owens off injured. Hopefully not serious
-
Dumb tactics from Wales.
Should have kept it high tempo not attritional
-
@MiketheSnow maybe just doing enough to get the job done bigger games to come

More chance of injury when you make it a contact game, defending rather than attacking
-
@MiketheSnow seems like a few NH teams are pacing themselves getting used to the Humidity maybe
-
Wales finally start creating again
North grubber through for Tomos Williams

Georgia's defensive work outside of set play is remarkably good. They've got some individual talent too.
Biggest difference between the two is the Welsh backline runs onto good passes and makes good decisions.
I suspect after the week they've had, they'll be happy to get the win, put the controversy behind them and look at the next opponent.

They're a good team.
Could easily knock over Fiji.
Would rather see them than Italy in the 6N.
Happy to make it 7N
