We are making huge metres next to the ruck. We don't need the wide channels before the fourth phase
And that try was scored by going up the guts a few phases before shifting it wide
Like... Uh .. Rugby? 😉

First of a handful of games to remind us why the Home Unions + aus don’t want eligibility restrictions lifted.
How so? Because all those old guys not playing for anyone else would improve this Fiji team?

It was actually scored by placing the ball down over the try line.

Great half of rugby. Hope the second is as competitive
-
@rustycruiser yeah, expect Aus to roll over the top. But if the game is as good as that first half it’ll be a good watch
-
Great half of rugby, awesome to see Fiji playing well and using their strengths.
Wallabies were pretty poor overall, especially tactically - they seemed to be trying to run Fiji around from the get go which played into Fiji’s hands.
Expecting Aus to run away with in the second half. Fiji already starting to tire and their set piece will continue to struggle.
-
If only Fiji had a scrum...
They will give Wales a good game. They probably need to score 1 or 2 tries fairly early in the second half to keep Australia at bay.
-
Impressed with Fiji's pressure at breakdown time. Linespeed has also been good but they're also defending very narrow, leaving opportunities out wide for the Aussies.
Yato is a huge loss. He was everywhere in the first 25.

Depth. When the bench players who have been playing village rugby against the Western Force all year and think tries count for 12 (if scored in the super max zone during the last 2 overs) come on as replacements there will be a drop off.

Go you beauty!
