@NTA He was fairly quiet but not surprising given his time out of the game this year. Good to get that run out of the way.

Looks like Wallabies best starting XV to me.

@NTA said in Fiji vs Australia:

Big bench. Small starting back row.

Obviously looking for Pocock to help nullify Fijian quick ball, as well as see if he's ready for Rugby after months without a game.

Back line is basically first choice from where I'm sitting. Foley the forgotten man, will probably get a crack at Georgia and Uruguay unless Lilo has a shocker.

Small bench for Australia, in fact, as there is normally one more player. Also a bit sad to see the wallabies copying our patented dual open side tactic

Fiji might struggle in the scrums as Ravai is a loosehead prop. I don't remember having seen him on the tight head. It's a bit of a surprise here as they have Saulo on the bench who is a good scrummager. Otherwise, I am pleased with this Fijian line up.

It’s a settled Aussie side which hasn’t been a feature for a while.

The backline has a good balance and if given ball should get point points.

If Fiji can keep their structure defensively and not turn the ball over (which has been a problem for them) it could be closer than some predictions I’ve seen.

Mate of mine has been talking Fiji up saying they're going to pip Wales for the second pool place.

    Dreaming.

I don’t think that happens, but there have been some key changes to the structures of how Fiji play which is reflected in a better run and managed union.

Looking forward to this. Have absolutely no idea of the strength of Fiji but hoping they can throw caution to the wind.

First of many games that we have to watch online on a desktop computer. I much prefer watching on tv, but ours is too old. I hope Spark Sport is doing its job and that the streaming will be good.

Your tv doesn't have HMDI inputs?

Not a fan of the camera work. The players look like ants when the shot is zoomed out.

Good composure and ball retention by Fiji. Not long ago with that amount of possession they would’ve just gone wide.

    3-0 Fiji

Speaking of homeless drunks how did they select the host broadcaster pool?

Karl Te Nana? Melodie Robson resurfacing? Mehrts? Sean Maloney?

As an overseas viewer can anyone tell me if TJ has commentated an M10 Cup game this weekend? Please say no.
