@MiketheSnow I guess we should be proffering up our own sides...
I'll make the popcorn. This will be fun to watch.
Popcorn after lunch, you fat bastard.
Bones? Are you really a kiwi bloke or is that actually my wife who has been quietly lurking on the Fern these last years?

But on to our best pre-RWC 15.
Shall we start the debate at fullback? -

Sure. This is an easy and non-controversial place to start:
- Willie le Roux

Some interesting picks. Would be interesting if he picked again post world cup. Hooper over Savea is laughable.
One right out of fifteen, not bad for an Englishman.

I am almost too nervous to ask.... but ok, which one did he get right?

I have not watched this but if you have 53 minutes to kill.
The, all things NZ rugby, hating/trolling 'Rugby onslaught' website said this about it -
"Ardie Savea has created a new player-run podcast online and his first guest was Ardie Savea. To our shock, the players came across as extremely humble an insightful in the podcast that ran for just under an hour. The video podcast appeared to be filmed from a hotel room, we’re guessing in New Zealand, so it seems that there could be more All Blacks featuring in this podcast series from Savea. If the player are as humble as this in future interviews, then we may have been wrong about the All Blacks all along.
Normally, we wouldn’t go for this kind of thing, but after seeing how humble and down to earth that the All Blacks players were. There is surely going to be more rugby players taking the leap onto these platforms in the future and we have a lot of time for this if it means that we get to see another side to these players. We will happily admit that now Savea and Perenara are in our good books now as Japan 2019 looms it’s head. So humble"

@Billy-Webb yeah pretty hard to argue against Stockdale being the premier left wing heading into the RWC...
Not sure if serious? He is great on attack, but defence still leaves a bit to be desired.

I think how good Ardie is currently will be a surprise this RWC to many non-NZ fans
I reckon this wc has come at a perfect time for Ardie
Career best form, ready to rip, the stage is set ,
comparisons may be made to Michael Jones at the finish of the tournament, he is in that type of form.

Some interesting info for those of you who like me, are getting impatient for this RWC to start...
Highest attendance: 89 867 - Ireland v Romania, 2015 at Wembley Stadium, London
Mental
Thought it was a pretty odd game to be the highest.
The other one that jumped our at me was the 5x drop goals in one game.
Someone should write about it ...

Those lego guys appear to have Brad Shields hands. O.K. for picking up the cup (note ABs get to do that) but not much good for catching a rugby ball.
Nice replica of Percy Montgomery too, with moving hair and all.

Probably not that surprising given it was the biggest Stadium, and probably slightly lower prices than some if the premium games.

One that came up last week on The Captain's Cup podcast on radiosport with Kirk was most team tries in one tournament. He wondered whether 87 was still the record. Would be interested in tracking that down.
Also, it woukd be interesting to compare 2nd and 3rd to 1st on some of those lists.
I looked at some records a few years ago, pre-2011, in a bid to convince myself that the ABs were actually still the best ... despite the record ... and even then it quite amazing how far ahead the ABs were in the matches won, point and try scoring records. And that was then.

Given I wouldn't even pick Crotty to make the AB XXIII ...
