Dolphins are on their way to the 1st pick. They let Lamar Jackson throw 5 TDs on them.

The Browns have had a lot of hype, but the Titans are smoking them at the moment. Titans up 43 - 13 in the 4th. Baker Mayfield has thrown 3 picks in the 4th Q.

Jaguars just signed Foles to a big contract and now he's on the sideline with his arm in a sling.

Seeing a lot of blow out scores, probably since none of the first teams played in preseason.

Browns are on the right path but this talk about them being contenders was crazy. Pittsburgh or Baltimore is winning that division.

yea, i went to turn on Redzone only to find just the one game! fuckers!

I see the Browns are still the browns...

So good to see Witten catching touchdown passes again. If only so i don't have to hear him calling them

49ers get an opening win. Nice.

The defense looks much improved but they will face much better offenses moving forward (and a lot of offenses are clunky right now given no one plays preseason).

A fairly average display by Jimmy G but at least he got through unscathed.

jesus look at what the Pats are doing to a so-called contender in the Steelers. It's a bloodbath

I don't remember a weekend with so many lopsided scores. In a 16 game season, can you afford to limp in like this?

Yeah that'll either fuck us around, or be deemed a master stroke.

@mariner4life In recent years slow starts are fairly common.

September has essentially become the defacto preseason as training camps have been stripped way back and coaches are scared to play starters in preseason for fear of injury.

Patriots lost 2 of their first 4 games last year.

Having said that - it's a bit different when its experienced coaches/cultures like the Patriots or the Saints starting slow.

When it's the Browns with a first time head coach it's a bit of a worry!

I am increasingly convinced that was his plan all along. Might as well give them the Lombardi trophy now

What a dream start for Jackson and the Ravens. Crazy numbers.

Hats off to the Cardinals for their comeback and what Murray did in the 4th.

Sets up a good clash for next week between these two teams.

Can't tell if Lamar Jackson is good as a QB or the Miami Dolphins are just that bad. One thing obvious is the Ravens are going to run the ball a lot which makes teams stack in the box and therefore open up the passing lanes for Jackson.

Yup/ Dolphins are tanking as per their trading away all their good O-line and D-Line players during the pre-season. But...Jackson has spent most of the off-season concentrating on improving his core mechanics and throwing base as well as seeming to understand that he cannot hold the ball for as long as he dd last season and rely on his scrambling game - Cam Newton being the psoter child for that beinga flawed approach. Hell I expected Jackson to throw much less than he did, but he was very comfortable with a quick release and made some smart decisions - even a good D-line is going to struggle against a QB who releases the ball off a 3 step drop and also has to guard against a beastly 1-2-3 running back platoon especially with someone as evil as Ingram

@MiketheSnow sadly for my Giants, the only player that looked threatening was Barkley - the guy is a machine.

Surprised by how poorly the Browns played, considering all the hype.

@Dice He is looking more and more like a 30 for 30 episode every day. Fall from grace/ lost opportunities and all that. If he fucks up at the Pats that will leave a permanent stain

Watched yesterday's game and Cam Newton looks broken.

He's now lost his last 8 games as a starter.

He hasn't thrown a touchdown in his last 4 games. He also hasn't had a rushing touchdown in his last 9 games.

Something's just not right with him. Because of the way he's been used in his career, he's got the wear and tear of a 30 year old running back.

@Sneakdefreak you've changed. I miss the annual "niners will make the Championship game at least"

Stoked it's back! Even though Denver look to be treadmilling this year.

Fucking Brady and the fucking Patriots will probably win, because they are the Melbourne Storm, BUT, it appears they may not have a cakewalk of a division this year, because, just maybe, whisper it, the Jets won't stink.

I would like the Chiefs to be as ridiculously offensive-sided as last year and win it that way.

Jets are a chance of a wild card if Sam Darnold takes another step. The problem is that ourccorners are woeful and we're almost as bad at edge. No pressure on the passer and poor coverage is a recipe for disaster. But just quietly this offence might be good enough to out score the opposition.

Le'Veon Bell should dominate opposition defensive scheming giving Darnold a chance to beat teams in the air. Bell and Montgomery are two of the best pass catching backs in the league. Anderson is a top 5 deep threat and has shown development as a route runner. Herndon is a match up nightmare and could just end up being the best playmaker on offense, and Enunwa and Crowder are both among the top tier of WR 2s in the league. If Gase is as good an offensive mind as his reputation says them this offence will be a nightmare to cover.

This didn't age well..... Sam Darnold is out indefinitely with mononucleosis aka the kissing disease.
