@Higgins Noticed that but probably just because Brother Beauden is there.

No Josh Ioane. Apart from that it looks about right IMHO.

Didn't think they would actually drop Owen. Feel for Laumape, though I think one of the centres will fall over anyway.

@Higgins said in RWC squad. Who's in, who's out?:

From memory it sounded like Brent IMpey announced Jordie Barrett as representing the Blues, Taranki and the Hurricanes. Does he know something no one else does?

I think he also called Scott Barrett as from Hurricanes too? Or did he move in the offseason and I missed it?

If you are a midfielder, prop or loosie you have to think there is a better than 50% chance you can get a call up.

Hansen saying that his conversation with Squire concluded with an agreement that Liam would be available as a replacement if required.

I’m not sure what’s more of a mystery. Who killed JFK or what is up with Liam Squire

    “Available as an injury replacement”

Pleased they dropped Owen - his impact on the field is negligible and props require greater impact across the 80mins.

Reward for Todd, impact on loose forwards at the RWC suggests additional numbers is prudent over carrying a very green third first-five.

Crotty, although he's made of glass, makes sense over Laumape. Crotty can play two positions, has heaps of experience and is a more rounded player.

    @Chris-B or Fifita or Frizzel

Unsurprising that those two missed out.

Hemopo missing the cut is a surprise.

Good squad, pleased they had the balls to drop Franks.

Luckiest player: Atu Moli (there thanks to Karl T’s illness)
Unluckiest player: Ngani Laumape or Karl T.

Good squad. The guys that just missed out should stay close and stay fit. A lot of twists and turns could happen before this thing is done and the likes of Laumape or Squires could easily find themselves on the plane

Patty T. competing with Hemopo and Fifita for the 4th lock position - once he won, they thought Jacobsen brings more to the 6 position.

They have Jordie, TJ and Crotty as people who can play first five at a pinch.
