whereas Ireland have replaced BOD really quite easily...
Nah not replaced, improved on! Does anyone see an improvement in ABs from those that left 2015 to now? Not that I see in 6, 7, 10, 12, 13, 14 (NMS to BFA), or 15 (BFA to DMac) - 11 is debatable, Jules was great vs France, and good through RWC but not as good over the year.
well of course we haven't. Nor are we likely to. With regards to their standings in the pantheon of NZ rugby
6: GOAT conversation
7: GOAT of GOATs
10: GOAT
12. GOAT
13. GOAT conversationDon't forget #4 GOAT conversation
Still playing, better now, doesn't count

England Hooker Brian Moore writing in the UK Sunday Times 18 June 1995 on the morning of the England-NZ RWC semi.
"England's recent win over New Zealand has shown their aura of invincibility is fading fast. Today England will smash it forever."
Oh, how we laughed...

Shall we ask Mike Catt about aura?

Tell Aura I Love Her.

We've lost someone else now: Fear Factor.
Is that Max Factor's sister btw? Maybe we'll get her back now that Ma'ascara is back in town ...

We're pretty careless about looking after our people ...

William is the only person we need to concentrate on not losing.

@booboo Feel awful saying this, but I thought it was very good piece by Rattue.
Hise sentence about other countries not having NZ's playing talent, but their national sides being much better organised rings true.
Gallows humour but which countries don't have our playing talent? I'm watching Anscombe and Heinz trot around at the moment.
It's a fair point also surprising that Eddie hasn't worn out his welcome and that Gats has had a resurgance in his 10th-11th years in the job pouring some cold water on the idea that Hansen is just past a natural used-by date.

Been hanging at Eden Park
Following Australia's record-breaking win over New Zealand in Perth last weekend, the Bledisloe Cup goes on the line on Saturday night, but at a venue which carries such an aura for the All Blacks, and such woe for the Wallabies.
-
Stuff messing with her
What is more, you can justifiably suggest that after being thumped so decisively by the Wallabies, on the back of a string of unconvincing performances leading back to last September's home defeat by the Boks, the All Blacks' aura has been well and truly shattered.

Pommie journo finds her on Radio Sport (Tuesday 13 Aug ... she'll disappear from this link next week).

Aura has been found alive and well. Was spending a few days in London with a Guardian journalist apparently....
"If you’re just waking up in the Northern Hemisphere, be afraid - Wales, England and Ireland fans. The rumours of the All Blacks’ demise were greatly overstated - and while it wasn’t the best showing from a slightly sub-par Wallabies, it was a huge statement of pre-World Cup intent, that the World number one team is in no mood to meekly lay down their crown, just yet.
Plenty has been written over the past week (and in recent months) and this squad of 23 was too proud to take any of that, lying down. Even late in the 70th-80th minute there was no space for charity.
Big, strong - and a little bit angry. The imperious All Blacks are back, Ladies and Gentlemen. And the Bledisloe Cup stranglehold continues."

All hail our Welsh overlords...
