So I'm currently on a mini tour of NZ with some overseas friends and on Tuesday stopped into Ohinemutu Marae and it was full of Fijians. Turned out it was a welcome for the Fijian and Fijian U20s.
Come along to the Maddison Trophy final at McLean Park on Saturday afternoon

Was Aunty Suzie there serving her special pork bones and puha....
I didn't see Whaea Huhana anywhere but hopefully she was out the back during meal prep.

It would have been awesome to cheer on Hastings R&S over the evil Napier empire but we left the Bay today after three days of non stop eating.

Bloody h*ll, some very big lads in that Fiji U20 team!
😂 I'm pretty sure that's not a swear word.

Good start from the Maori U20 with Cortez-Lee Ratima and Keelan Whitman scoring the first tries, the last one after a great break from Zarn Sullivan. The Fijians have been dominating the last 10 minutes though, resulting in a good try from their hooker.
Third try for the Maori scored by McGahan.
Maori U20 19 - 10 Fiji U20 after 30 minutes.

I hope to see Zarn Sullivan get some game time for Auckland this year. He looks the goods.
-
@African-Monkey He should come home haha. We could use another 10.
-
@Stargazer Suprised he did stay in Auckland tbh. Most of them that get imported from out of Auckland end up going back to their provinces.
-
@African-Monkey Hmm, yeah, his brother didn't come home, either.
