The way Stokes drops the bat and trudges off is just happiness in it's purest form. Hook it to my veins. The actions of a man who realises he has been comprehensively bettered by a superior human being.
He got that to move in the air big time, something Boult has been struggling with so far this CWC. He's looking bloody ominous, batsmen will not be looking forward to facing swing at that sort of pace.

@mofitzy_ We could still go through without winning another game if Sr Lanka lose to either RSA or India - either or both of which is very likely. England, on the other hand, need to win their remaining matches against us (likely) and India (less likely) - I can't see Pakistan losing another match from here.

England are in trouble, if Pak win both their remaining games England have to win both theirs. Drop 1 and they are fucked.Yup we can lose both our games and still go through.

Great link.All going to plan there will be an India v Pakistan semi which will make broadcasters very happy.
I'm not sure Pakistan will displace us though ... needs a lot of NRR changes for them to get up. Will have to dominate Bangles and Afghans, without doing a Pakistan

True, another positive from the game last night is Neesh and CdG getting us past 200 meant our NRR didn't take too much of a hit.
