The only positive will be if we get reamed and it forces some serious changes
And they would be?
Hint Nicholls for Munro ... ?

My slight concern is that after giving some charmed players chance after chance after chance... their replacements will have to come in cold from recent cricket and perform straight away v India, England, and onward...

Nicholls, Blundell

Sheesh, after that ball tell me we picked Ish?

This is a shit pitch to bat on. Plenty of seam and spin, anything 240 and above will be a tough chase.
Getting to 240 will be a hell of a challenge though. It's all on Kane once again.
-
Ok. Bed time. Thank me around 3am tomorrow.
I hate cricket.
-
Kane gone, will take a fairly major miracle to win from here. I'm off to bed.
Batting first was a shit decision that just played into Pakistan's strengths.

@mofitzy_ 105 for Pakistan v WI, then 125 by Afghanistan v SA.
Not out. That was super close. 200 would be something. 220 possibly to much to chase on this wicket. But if we make 170 plus I'll be surprised.
When they've shown the ball tracking graphics you can see the Pakistan bowling attack is on point. Accurate and getting a bit of juice out of the conditions. Some of our shitty shot selection has contributed of course.

@Paekakboyz
Neither were 50 overs though -

10 an over for the last 5 would give us 234. Low but if the pitch is deteriorating it at least gives our bowlers a chance
Neesham is going legend here.
Have a wee worry this could play out like the 1999 semi at Old Trafford against Pakistan where we faultered early, massively rescued it with Twose/Cairns to post mid-200s score. Then we failed to take early wickets and they knocked it off losing one wicket. But you have to back NZ in here as they must have strong bowling plans from the series at the start of the summer.

This is the very best of Neesham today, he often seems to play his best cricket when the responsibility is squarely on his shoulders.
One of the best I’ve seen from CdG, because he had to adjust his natural game and then build an innings.
I thought if we get 220 that would be enough on this wicket.
