Just finished watching it, not easy viewing. We had chances and our defence was pretty good for large chunks of the match, but the lapses we had they would make 20-25 metres off one run and then we would battle to get it out of our end.
Very disappointing. A win against the Broncos is one of those sweet moments in all of sport.
-
Was at the stadium and saw a different of the game than what was apparently on tv. For a low-scoring affair it was an entertaining match with a lot of brutal hits and good defence, although against two disjointed attacks.
Warriors got into the Broncos red zone regularly but didn't make any points off of it, especially in the back end of the first half and that's where they lost the game. Kearney kept Luke on the field for far too long in the first half, he was tired after 25 minutes and should have been subbed for Lawton to bring some more energy around the play the ball.
Ken Maumalo was the best player for the Warriors with Tohu Harris in a close second while Alex Glenn and Matt Gillett had a good game for the Broncos.
He wasn't that fast to begin with but holy moly is Darius Boyd a slow old man. I could out run him in a 20 metre dash.

Those teams are actually a bit closer in talent than I expected. Cook to be the difference
-
The Souths trio of Cook, Walker and Murray will led NSW to victory in the first game. They've been on fire all season.

Can anyone watching the game now tell me what the hell the guy playing the ball was supposed to do to not get penalised just now?
Penrith player gets tackled just short, gets up, plays the ball and dummy half scores. Penrith get penalised for obstruction as Manly marker wasn't able to make the tackle due to the guy playing the ball. The marker was offside too.

Not watching.
Who is play who?
If defending team is one of the bigger , media darling, large television market teams ... and the other team is the Warriors, Titans or some other lowly scum my answer would be "be more profitable" ...
... but that would just reflect my cynicism

Thursday night is wine night eh boo! Reckon there might be some clues in my post for who was playing who...

Warriors to play the Storm in a storm. Honestly it's cyclone weather in Auckland today. Melbourne's origin players expected to back up. Apparently, according to Stuff for what it's worth, Patty Herbert is out with a leg injury and Gerard Beale replaces him at centre. No idea who is the goal kicker now.

Looks like someone forgot to tell the Warriors that they are supposed to go on a winning run during the Origin period. 26-10 Storm with 15 minutes to go.
-
With the Warriors at home , origin through the week , and the warriors smarting over what happened Anzac day ,
I was half expecting the Storm to be walking into an ambush.
-
Storm had 100% completed sets in the first half and nearly 100% in the second half. They were in control the whole time. Stephen Kearney's game management was shocking (as it has been all season), he played Luke way too long and should have brought in Adam Keighran for Patrick Herbert as the team needed another goal kicker.
Been calling for this for several games but now is the time to trial other NSW Cup players who could be a regular players next season and rest veterans like Blake Green, Issac Luke, Adam Blair and Peta Hiku.
-
Adam Blair finally reaches his 300th game in a Friday evening match against Gold Coast. Hopefully he plays less games going forward. Blake Green, Isaac Luke and Karl Lawton have the shits.
