They would have been green or red or yellow tho

I'd rank it up there with the original iron man movie as the best one
Thing is it's got a completely different feel to the other films, I've lost count actually how many times I've revisited it as well, a kick ass soundtrack doesn't hurt either

I thought it was pretty shit hot without any comparisons to recent superhero stuff. Agree that titties would have been good but it would have lost that nice balance between kid/adult appeal. I thought it was excellent as having something for everyone no matter your age.

If you can't enjoy a genetically modified raccoon causing mayhem with his walking tree mate, then you are little dead inside 😉

I was looking forward to this, but was a little disappointed, were some laughs through it, but overall a bit meh I felt.

Thing about GotG is I had zero expectations because I knew nearly nothing about it. As a result, and the 80s references as well, I thought it was ace, and watched it with the boy when Mrs TA took the girl out to some party. Great times.

I knew about Iron Man, but the original was so fucking cool because the CGI was so well done and I didn't really give two shits for Captain America (though it was a decent watch when I finally DID see it). The second Iron Man was meh because it was a bit shit.

It appears to have skipped the cinemas and gone to DVD already.

I can't believe all the positive reviews Mad Max is getting, now I'm going to have to cough up the $20+ to go see it even though the trailers left me cold. Grrrr.

Thank you!

Maggie - Big Arnie in a more dramatic role as the dad of a teen who has been infected with a Zombie virus and she is slowly 'turning' (happens over a course of days/weeks) and they have camps where the zombies go once turned.

Not quite what I expected , sitting there waiting for Arnie to kick some ass, just never happened...bit of a slow burner.

Anyone seen Mad Max?

Thought it was rubbish. Starting to think movie reviewers are getting paid off by the movie companies now just like what happened to video games.

Maybe I'm easy to please but it looked great story was good, the action was relentless and the Miller world rebooted well. It's no war and peace but it doesn't pretend to be

For me:

- Terrible dialogue

- Even worse acting

- Stunts were cool, but got boring and repetitive after 2 hours of the same thing

- Max wasnt even the main character, movie should have been called Furiosa: Fury Road

- Tom Hardy's "Australian Accent" :hang1:

And for a civilisation who values oil and water so much they sure do waste a lot of it! haha (This isn't a criticism just found it funny)

The Duke of Burgundy.

Seems like it has exhausted the possibilities of erotic labour and fatigue (I know ...) after 30 mins, but keeps getting better. Very good film. Digital cinematography is crisp but captures the period atmosphere it aims for. Occasional encoding flaws (macro-blocking) on blu-ray.

It's slower than many of you would like, but you probably will crack a bone.

Finally watched all 3 hours of Interstellar and really enjoyed it until the end which didn't make sense to me.
How did Cooper (McConaughey) end back at our solar system and beside Saturn? I know he shakes hands with Anne Hathaway's character in the wormhole but is that to suggest the blackhole placed him inside it?
Remember who created the wormholes, that's how.

Watched this last night and thought it was pretty cool! Loved the way it played up to the genre and mixed old with the new, thought Samuel's Tyson character was so funny I laughed pretty much every time he spoke!

Only when the credits rolled did I realise Luke Skywalker was in it too!

Less Mad Max reviews on here considering the hype engendered by the trailers around here.

Watched a couple of movies over the past week:

Son of a Gun: Aussie movie staring Ewen McGregor as a criminal who takes a young guy under his wing in prison and then they get up to shit when he gets out. Going in I thought it was an entirely prison set movie and the prison stuff was great. But still a decent enough watch.

The Judge: Lawyer movie (very John Grisham style although not John Grisham) in which Robert Downey Jr has to return to his hometown to defend a client. Was pretty decent if a bit long.
