reckon with 5 pens in a row within 5m of the line, a YC should have been issued

He let the Crusaders tap and go quickly though. Crusaders could have waited and got the yellow I think.

@hydro11 Yes people would have then blamed the ref for stopping the Crusaders momentum if he stopped play to give a yellow out.

@hydro11 But should it matter. Nothing prevents the ref from issuing the yellow afterwards

@taniwharugby Yep I'd say. With Sammy and Ritchie restored to the team they look a lot better.
Can;t rest on their laurels though.

That was the earlier quick tap wasn't it? The final quick tap was after a double advantage for offside and head high IIRC. Then they weren't back ten. I don't think anything was yellow worthy before that. Sharks had only conceded 6 penalties in the first 77 minutes so you deserve credit for that.

He should have issued one after the Crusaders scored but probably no point as it was full time.

But there was no warning prior to that. So it was a 50/50 proposition whether a YC would’ve been given and given how the game was being managed I’m glad we took the tap.

Not many times you see a Crusaders pack rag dolled like that. That’s how the Boks will play the ABs.

Hunt was terrible. Less Mounga’s absence, more the quality of his replacement and the heat the Sharks pack brought.

Yeah. If the ref was going to give a yellow he should have made the Crusaders aware so they had the option,

@hydro11 How is it no point. There are rule the he must enforce, its irrelevant whether the game is done

@kev hopefully Pickerall is not the official,Agree regarding Hunt, but to cut him some slack, showed steel nerves knocking over that conversion ..
Thought Kieran Read was huge in the 2nd half..
Got a good friend who supports the sharks, reckons they could possibly be the best team out of the republic, but probably the poorest coached team

This female commentator(Rikki Swannell?) is pretty decent. Most of the games I've seen from her, I haven't been able to fault her much.

@Steven-Harris His games don’t seem to flow. Pinging players all over the place.

She cut her teeth in radio. She's a genuine sports commentator which makes her better than a random they brought it.

If Mo'unga plays tonight, Saders win. I think it really is as simple as that.

Mo’unga’s pass and quickness is a big difference when we are in our own half. He takes on the line or he can organise and release runners. Noticeable difference tonight.

Sure there was a real battle up front, but even when we’ve had that this season Mo’unga has still been able to do his thing.

In saying that, I don’t think Hunt was too bad tonight compared to previous outings this season.

@ACT-Crusader Mo’unga is top drawer. Hunt looked well off the pace to me. His kick out on the full early 2nd half, followed by some lame attempts at taking the high ball, the grubber close to the line that was low percentage....
