while I still think he has all the skills, something just ain't right with him mentally

At the very least Nock should be playing consistently well for Northland by now. Instead he has a game where he looks shit hot followed by flat games with dumb mistakes

This is his fourth year of pro rugby. He still seems like a rookie

I'd rather the Blues actually pick a rookie next year. It's better than hoping the 5th year will be Nocks year

@Duluth well as I said, I think he just isnt upto it mentally.

Would have been good to see him in another environment but i expect his next stop will likely be overseas.

Jack Goodhue got engaged last weekend. From social media, it looks like his fiancée is Auckland-based. Obviously most of his family is in Northland. A move north to the Blues for Jack Goodhue in 2020?

@sparky I remember the same reason ("his partner") being used with respect to Dan Carter and Beauden Barrett signing with the Blues. Still waiting ...

@Tim Pretty sure he will. I believe hes on a full M10 contract this year. Based on his club form don't be surprised if he at some stage of the M10 season he overtakes Plummer to become the first choice 10! You heard it here first 🙂

So is that a line through Duffie's name then? He was extremely ineffectual last night.

    Probably

Other outside backs are returning from injury, rest and suspension. So it’s hard to see him getting another chance to redeem himself

Te Toiroa Tahuriorangi has re-signed with the Chiefs so he won't be heading north of the Bombays any time soon.

@Yeetyaah Chiefs caught wind of what was going on..not sure if it’s a smart decision on his part especially if Weber is your number 1 halfback and the coach is still Cooper..good luck to him,but it’s a dumb move on his part..would have been the starting halfback at the Blues..

Why is not going to a hopelessly run franchise not a good move? Blues are yet to prove they are out of their funk (even if they do look better)

Word is that Cooper won't last.

@Hooroo it’s the best way to challenge yourself ,if he’s quite happy to sit on the bench, then so be it..!

I am picturing that he won't be on the bench much next season. He wasn't going to move this season

@Steven-Harris Agree that he would have been starting at the Blues. Still think he'll push Weber out though.

@Yeetyaah my disappointment is probably more in and around the fact we (the Blues)can’t seem to sign anyone of quality in many key positions..teams with average halves don’t win Super Rugby titles..which is why I am so critical of Tony Hanks the so called recruitment officer..I could write a list of players on this guys watch who have not scrubbed up on his watch not to mention the non signing of many players who gone on to be rock stars at other franchises and that list would be bigger again..

Just heard through a contact Sam Nock will be the starting halfback for the Canes game on Friday night..has not been re signed as yet, but sounds like he is playing for his future..

Pulu apparently does not have a contract..but it’s seems its not out of the realms that the Blues may resign him because he could be staying in NZ..
The plot thickens ...either that or they have lost the plot.
