    @Tim drunk posting?

    Yeah sad to see him go. Looks a cracking player and thought he had AB written all over. Oh well.

    Another player that has never really established himseld at Mitre10 Cup level that the WRFU have pissed away untold amounts of money when they signed him up as a schoolboy. Will they ever learn?

    @Higgins they always do this and then never give them any opportunity. The brains at WRFU HQ have always been minimal so i'm not suprised tbh.

    @Higgins It's a practice that's not foreign to the Canes, either. They signed an unproven Billy Proctor for 5 years!

    Bastareaud will be joined in MLR by Adam Thomson, who's making his rugby comeback in Utah.

    Awesome to see him back on the field after his near-death experience...

    I can’t believe fat boy is only 30. Imagine what a blob he will be when he stops playing.

    I can't believe he's had an international career playing in the centres.

    @Stargazer that’s been kept quiet I wondered why I hadn’t heard anything from him since he was around a lot for the Canes last year

    No great loss. Magnificent at times for the highlanders, pretty much a dud for the all blacks with the odd highlight.

    Australia being hammered. Adam Coleman and Rory Arnold both off overseas. Not to mention other departures.
