All this hype is starting to worry me ... I don't want to feel the disappointment of The Phantom Menace again.

Hopefully Abrahms doesn't blow this ... and no freaking lens flare!
-

Episode 1 is the 16th highest grossing film of all time, and that's without adjusting for inflation.

This will beat that, easy.

I am willing to bet any amount of money i enjoy this movie. I am willing to bet any amount of money you will find a shit ton of people who hate it, based purely on their prejudice before they step into the theatre (waaaah, it's not the Empire Strikes Baaack, look how fucking sophisticated i aaaammm, pay attention to me dammit!). BUT, they will still step in to the theatre, and that gross will be enormous.

Star Wars does funny things to people. There is no way Abrahms doesn't know this, he's well aware of the feelings towards the prequels, he isn't going to make a piece of shit, it'll destroy him.
-

As long as George Lucas stayed the fuck away during the writing and production stage, then it should be ok.

You can picture him ringing asking Abrahams if hes included Jar Jar or something fucken stupid.

My guess is they had a picture of Lucas at the gate with strict instructions to keep him the fuck away from the set.
-

I don't care how much money it makes (it will make bucketloads) - I just want it to be a good film. The Phantom Menace actually went bloody close to being good (Darth Maul, Podrace etc).

I think they've decided on less CGI this time round too.
-

Fucken yeah!

I don't get Batman v Superman. I mean one guy has super powers and bullets bounce off him, can fly at supersonic speeds etc and the other is just a human in a suit that can fight.

Seriously, Superman should be able to zoom up to Batman and before he even realises it smack him once and obliterate him.

Or have I got this all wrong?
-

Superman sucks!

But yeah, otherwise agree; I prefer Batman, but ultimately Batman is just a super-well organised vigilante!

Not to mention they are both 'good' so why would they fight??
-
-

Superman needs to have other worldly villains to fight otherwise its all bullshit shit really.

His conscience is the only thing that stops him from ripping people apart. We are all sick of goody goods and want to see Superman go tits out a la Wolverine rage type stuff.
-

I assume it's like the Avengers when they fight early and then join together to defeat the big bad.

Hopefully it's better than the last Dark Knight and Superman: Man of Shit. (Ducks for cover).

Yeah I assume so 'Dawn of Justice', but thats if Superman doesnt kill Batman straight off, as he could...unless Alfred whips him up a suit made of kryptonite!
-

Great mash up of the latest Star Wars trailer with Matt M's performance in Interstellar... gold!

The point of how Batman can beat Superman is not when the fight starts, it's the preparation that Batman does before the other guy even knows he's about have a fight. Batman basically has a plan on how to kill every member of the Justice League in case they go rogue - including Superman.

Even if you are just going by the movies Richard Pryor and Gene Hackman kicked Superman's arse for parts of those stories.
-

That's kind of the point of the ending of Man of Steel and much of the history of the comics, Superman doesn't like to kill people. Combine that with they kryptonite (and I guess magic, if they are including Wonder Woman as her sword can cut Superman) he has a weakness that can be exploited.
