Open Range. Early 2000s Western with Kevin Costner, Robert Duvall and Michael Gambon.

I have started watching this movie maybe 10 times and something always came up. Tonight the kids are in bed early and the mrs is at a friends. Fuck what a boring fucking movie. Almost no redeeming features. To think all that time I spent alone tonight watching this snooze fest could have been spent at pornhub.. -

Superb film, I'm surprised it didn't get more attention. -

Funny. I quite liked the film. A slow start that's for sure and a bit too much of a feel good ending but overall I thought it was worth a watch.
-

I liked Dark Shadows.

I'm not upper middle class, teenage, or goth, I likely have issues but a remake of a cult 60s soap likely doesn't speak to them.

As for Green, she does frequently get the goods out, but unfortunately for her she's got that Bertolucci movie where she was fully starkers most of the running time back when she was young so her later nudity is always in comparison to that.

I agree with M4L re: the guy from 300 and Strikeback. I stopped watching that show as I couldn't only take his 'acting' in small doses.
-

OK, I'm preparing to be ridiculed utterly for this, but unlike M4L I'm comfortable with my sexuality.

Tonight the wife and I went Gold Lounge (had gift cards from Xma) for Ken Branagh's retelling of Cinderella.

Aaaaaaand that's about enough. Go do the rest of it on your own time.

So the movie itself was actually alright - light hearted, well acted, and of course being Disney the production values were fucking spectacular. Cate Blanchett didn't have to stretch herself, but really was the stand out as the wicked stepmother and had several LOL moments actually. Makes such a great bitch.

I don't know that I'd take the kids though. It just wasn't... I dunno... kiddie enough like your Frozen or your Tangled animated gigs. Wife agreed with me: "kids would probably get bored" was her comment.

Was a good, easy viewing movie for a Friday date night with a little bit of heart string pulling (around death of a character) and the bloke who played Robb Stark being a fairly decent prince.

Now, I'm off to see if a root is in the offing, or whether my cosmic plea for a win over India the other night has basically ruined that shit.
-
Did it work NTA? Saturday is party day!

Really enjoyed Interstellar, usual issues with Nolan's films but it gets way more right than wrong. Special effects were epic, Matthew McConaughey is utterly brilliant, and I dunno if I'm getting sappy after having kids but those aspects really effected me.

A great modern retake on 2001.

I liked this too, although the whole bending time, worm holes and 5th dimension shit fucks with your head! -

Do you have an expectation of what you will get in return for sitting through some female orientated shite movie? ie either sex in the city movie=threesome

Its a win win, if she baulks at the idea of a menage a trois you never have to sit through the film.
-

I think he's actually claiming he plays the long game. It's 1 hour = 1 minute so a movie is going to equal 2 minutes.

Rant re: Gold Class. Man what a complete racket. You pay over double the price for a ticket (when ticket prices in Sydney are already inflated). The only benefit you really get is a comfy chair. Everything else is just bullshit. You can pay extra over priced food and drinks. Then, the first 20 minutes of the movie is ruined by the wait staff delivering the food and then you get to listen to a range of different foods crunching instead of just popcorn. Rant over.
-

Nah love it for Reading at least. Even better on weekdays when the price is cut. No fucking annoying kids in most cases. The bogans generally avoid it. Besides the pack of fat skanks that were munching as you say, and giggling* it was good. Less dickheads.

It was also quicker and cheaper than hitting the restaurant beforehand too - gift voucher being a big difference - but dessert, dinner for both of us and a glass of sparkling for the wife came in around $60. Complimentary soft drink.

You can piss away almost that much on popcorn and snacks.
