Really good article here about the business and complexities of sports streaming.

Good point made about iOS updates likely to coincide with RWC.

For all Aussie based Ferners:
Good, I don't have to fluff around getting something else.

@Stargazer I’m pretty bloody happy with that, Kayo works well and knowing I have access to all the games is great.
Am I the only one having issues with Kayo? As I said on another thread I have not gotten through an evening of rugby without it cutting out.

Seems to work ok for me, occasionally I will get buffering but I'm not sure if thats my internet connection as I'm on wireless NBN. Have you tried different devices, like Computer, Ipad, phone etc?

I've had cut outs on the computer and iPad, but I'm primarily going to use the iPad as I cast to the TV.
I get proper cut outs/re-starts but I don't often have buffering issues. I don't have issues with my other streaming services.

@Nepia I've never had a cut out of any sort. Might be worth sending a message to their support. I use chromecast and it works well. Hope you can get it sorted.
Yeah, I've sent them a message. I'll keep testing it until the end of March and if it doesn't improve I'll go back to Fox.

I get less buffering if I play 15 secs behind live. But yes, for a streaming service there's a lot of buffering. And it's not like my internet is slow.

Touche, but mine's not too bad:

Trying to switch to the Roosters v Souths game has pretty much confirmed for me that I'm going to give Kayo the boot.
Tried to stop the cast of the rugby and it wouldn't stop, even when I turned the iPad off and switched the tv over to Netflix. Was fobbed off by Kayo support and given no support and then when I managed to restart it by turning everything off and then on again was told "there you go" by the Kayo support person.
It's now been 4 weeks of Kayo and I've had an issue every week - and the second game I watch in a night always has issues and drops back down to less than 480p. Not worth the $15 a month saving.

Hope this isn't a case of leaving a sinking ship - before the shitstorm of a RWC disaster strikes.
