Savea goooone Skudder in

Not long ago, I posted an article in the NH clubrugby thread about this man and his plans for Toulon; about how he wants to replace a lot of older players, especially imports from overseas with new, young players (NMS's signing is a bit odd in this light). Savea is far from the only one he wants to get rid of (Guilhem Guirado, Malakai Fekitoa and some others are already known to be leaving; others haven't been re-signed yet). This is just his way of trying to justify decicisions he's making to make that happen. I'm not saying Savea has been playing well, but it all says more about that ***hole Boudjellal than about Savea.

Well he's due for arguably even more pain if he's signed Milner Skudder for 3 years.
He's certainly not an astute rugby investor. Makes you wonder how he made money.
He isn't the first and won't be the last uber rich owner who tries his hand at building a trophy winning pro sports team and fails miserably. Just ask the fans of Blackburn Rovers, the Cleveland Browns, and the New York Knicks

@canefan Well he did build a successful period on his galacticos, 2011~15, it's just gone to shit since
Anyone on this site could have told him Savea would be a bust. Perhaps he could pay us a retainer and we can vet any future purchases of NZ players?

@canefan my guess is those on this site would have encouraged him to take Savea, earlier, and NMS, earlier
He could just join the Fern and get his advice for free!!

While NMS is yet to capture his spark of the last WC he's on a different level to Savea around training and being a professional. Savea has struggled to get properly fit at both super and AB levels before, which used to infuriate me no end, especially for the canes. No doubt some of that can come down to environment et, but there is no way I'd have signed Savea for big money.

You're ever the optimist Paeks. Last I saw of NMS it looked like he'd been sprint training with Owen Frank's.

@MN5 I've seen him in the gym a wee bit, def agree he hasn't got back that deadly acceleration he had. But reckon it'll come back sooner than later. I guess my point was he trains the house down and has the right attitude, whereas Savea has never been a great trainer imo.

I really, really doubt that brudda. I think he's fallen to the same curse as any number of AB outside backs who lose that spark at the age he is now....Cully, Jonah, Rokocoko, Savea etc.

You think these guys would do a little research to find out why they are no longer Allblacks,
You are getting the 2019 version , not the 2015 one ,
How hard is that to work out

@kiwiinmelb he'd have only needed to read the fern to know Savea was well past his best. But Savea's agent did a stellar job! especially if he can wrangle that exit money!

@Paekakboyz showed him the 2015 1/4 final and some circa 2012/2013 clips
