Not a deliberate knock on? WTF is the clown smoking?
It's not a deliberate knock on. How many penalties are we gonna have if we start penalising people for accidental knock ons?
It is deliberate because it didn't go backwards and he didn't catch it. That removes any "judgement".
It's not deliberate. Are you saying every forward pass is deliberate now? That's a penalty. And lineouts, where the tap down goes awry and ends up going forward? Penalty.
I guess if you can't deal with the issue at hand you can always come up with your own red herrings.
How is that a red herring? Player attempts to play it back, it accidentally goes forward. Definite penalty.
But I guess if you can't deal with the issue at hand you can make snide comments and ignore it.

Weird feeling, with a better ref we would have had that. Still lots for us to work on, but far better than last year
The fucking ref?!?? That means for everything he got wrong for blues you need to give points where he got it wrong for red team.
It was your shit first five that could not win the game for you not the ref.

Under that ruling, every knock on is deliberate.
You might want to learn the laws. A player in possession can knock on ffs.
Right but if a player in possession loses it they didn't catch it and the ball didn't go backwards. So if those are the only two criteria, every knock on is deliberate.
The matter in hand is defenders knocking the ball on interfering in passes to players in space. This isn't difficult to understand.
If you include possession as a third criteria you still have every knock on not in possession as a penalty (which seems stupid).
It's only stupid to stupid people who think that outcome with Mataele simply throwing out a hand to interfere with the pass isn't deliberate.

Both ten missed kicks, that evens out. The stuff he let the Crusaders get away with was a joke. One harsh PT too.
They might of well just put players in our back line.

Hang on. I'm not on board with hydto, but can you point out to me just what knock ons occur that aren't part of a deliberate action?

So yet again you're making a judgement call about intent from a defender. All the other examples are irrelevant to this discussion. Lineouts are restarts and contest for possession.

Best thing was how we played in the second half. Perhaps all that talk about the impact on fitness of the new trainer was true.
Was a lot of stoppages though, that didn’t help us build pressure.
We might as well take a punt on a young player for 15. Collins is a handbrake to one of our strengths, counter attack.

Why is that irrelevant? A knock on from a lineout is... Surprise! A knock on.

Fuck it. Well done Crusaders. Next 3 games are crucial and we have to win all 3. Tom Robinson and Akira (as usual) were outstanding for us. Ennor was the Crusaders best for me.
-
@antipodean trying to understand your thinking here... Are you saying if you knock the ball on and it was last played by the opposition, it should always be ruled deliberate?
-
Bloody good game. Huge defensive effort from the Crusaders 4 - 7. Dalton was disappointing and didn't look AB material at all. Though, he probably suits being on the defensive team defending in close rather than on the team with all the possession.
Awesome seeing Nonu back.
