My Latest All Blacks Quiz

DM if that's at me then... Gallagher? Deans? yea, the names just wouldn't come to mind. And the right answer wouldn't have come to me if you had given me an hour. or a day.

Most of the rest were pretty easy i thought. Most of the times they are wingers/fullbacks, so if you don't remember the game you just enter names from the right era until you get it.

Neps Mils played wing that game and just ran them in.
-

Couldn't for the life of me remember Green or Ellis. Was thrilled that typing goldie netted a result. :good1:

-

Tough one this one. It would be quite the rugby historian who would get this on the first go.

All players to have captained the All Blacks in a test since 1946.

-

Got every one from after 1980 (missed Loveridge) except Ginge Henderson. Add in the legend names and I did alright. But i am not ashamed to admit there are more than a few names on there i haven't heard of.

And Rodders on 08/09 took me an age to get!

28/42

Forgetting Mourie was ordinary on my part

these have been tremendous fun today
-

Got 24/42.. although for some reason I couldn't get Henderson or So'oialo in as I couldn't bloody spell it. Still not sure where I went wrong with Henderson. Although accidentally getting Johnny Smith and Ponty Reid due to incorrect guessing/spelling on my part offset that.

Pissed off that I missed Hobbs, Mourie & to a lesser extent Whetton.
-

200 points or more in tests, only 11 All Blacks have done it.

-

Amazing how few have actually done it. 4 of the 11 pretty much solely on tries alone.

This list wasn't too hard.

Savea needs another 13 tries. It helps when they are now worth 5 pts!
-

I'm sure that J. Savea and B. Barrett will join this list in a year or two.

Amazing how things change in a lifetime.

Don Clarke's record 207 stood for soooo long. Hewie got close and it was talked about each time he played his last 4 or 5 tests.

Massive deal when Stu Wilson got his record equalling 16th try, off a flanker (Kirkpatrick). Was replayed over and over

Hewie's 26 points vs Aus was generally thought of as a freakish performance, and I think was a world record at the time. Especially poignant as it came against a top team and featured a cracking 45 metre droppie with a leather ball

Oh how things change
-

23/42

But will give myself 24 - as for Major Rage it wouldn't accept "Henderson" .... NZ's most successful test captain ... but it was included in the answers.

Again like Rage am particularly pissed off I missed Hobbs and Whetton, and add in Fred Allen on the oops of course list

I thought I had put Laidlaw in but apparently I missed him ...
