    Unbelievably no vickets for Boulter

Only bowled a handful of overs. Conditions suited Southee and the spinners.

    Any guesses for MOTM?

My guess rhymes with Wayne Killiamson.

Has to be. At 60/4 we were well up the creek without a paddle, on a turning wicket against a spinner in the form of his life, and he just completely dominated turning the match on its head. That was a really special innings, added to his runs in the first innings and we lose that test by and innings and some if he's not there. We're lucky to be watching our GOAT in his prime, we've never had anyone else like him.

Fuck what a start for Stead. I honestly doubted if we'd even bag a single W from this tour. A drawn ODI series and a historic test series win is nothing short of epic.

Kane in vintage form, and Nicholls really coming of age as a player. The rest of the batsmen need to find some bloody form though.

Some great finds in Patel and Somerville. Boult back to his best. Wags awesome as always and Southee has shown his value in this test.

It all bodes well for another great summer of cricket - bring it on!

1969 was our the last time we've beaten them in the sub continent. Amazing.

    Sooo ...

    Add back Santner Claus...

Wags (we loves LOVES Wags) to ne added...

    Who is left out???

I don't think he's good enough to just waltz back in the team. Still hasn't got a Michelle or a ton....

    Absolutely awesome series win fellas.

Watlings keeping was nearly immaculate all series

Here's a really good article to bask in today. This guy always writes well and even threw in a jab at Brad Haddin. Apparently we've won 5 of our last 6 series

New Zealand greater than the sum of its parts, again http://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/25477669/new-zealand-greater-sum-parts-again

Haddin triggers me more than a Millennial getting offended on behalf of someone....

As I wrong in saying Pakistan had never lost a Test series in the UAE before?
Quick look back I can see most series either won or drawn.

Even we drew last time we played there

Sri Lanka won their series there last year:

@virgil possibly more noteworthy than 2 losses in about 12 years was how they smashed into submission quality teams. Aus and Eng would rock up all keen and by half way through the series the writing was on the wall. Lesser teams were a mere formality

To people that know cricket, this was a win well worth celebrating

Just watched that Day 5 highlights package (nice work, Pakistan cricket, 20 mins is good.) Really good bowling effort, and have to say, good use of the review. Umps got a lot of calls wrong. Ross had some dropsies he will not want to re-watch, and you could just see Stead's pulse rate accelerate when Raval dropped that catch.

My only complaint, not nearly enough shots of the Pakistan coach watching his team implode. Again.

Without heralding false dawn number 127 for the BCs it's encouraging they won when so many batsmen failed. Surely they'll all come right by our home series ( which starts next weekend ! Crikey )

Mick Arthur must be sick of coaching teams that choke like dogs

There's some top quality talk back ( is that an oxymoron) from Devlin calling this one of the great NZ test series wins.

The Black Caps were behind Pakistan in every single stat.. ..except the one that mattered. Shah took 29 wickets and his team still lost the series !

One of the articles posted above makes the point that the difference was that almost all of our players chipped in through out the series, whereas Pakistan were reliant on a couple of guys going big. That gave us the strength to recover after earlier failures while Pakistan were boom or bust.

That's pretty much what Craig McMillan said. We also only got 2 centuries to their 5.
