Are Akira Ioane and Jackson Hemopo the answer?
-
Not unleashing Hemopo and TTT regularly this year is part of the grand powder dry strategy.
-
On Mr. Hemepo, everytime I have seen him in black he looks the goods. The "wise" selectors went with other options that were just baffling to be honest. A physical 6 who is industrious with a big ticker......nah too obvious.

Hi Nightmare Hitter, that kind of opening post will go far. You've upset the cantabs, brought the Blues and Highlanders fluffers on board, and then at the end upset the 'canes mafia. I like it.
Can I throw in upsetting the Chiefs and BOP Mafia by not mentioning the player of the game, Mitch Karpik who should definitely jump ahead of the overrated Ardie Savea as Cane's deputy for the World Cup.

@mofitzy_ As I said, the purpose of the video was to show that Hemopo is quicker than a lot of people think, so could be the answer at 6. It would be good if they gave him a chance like Fifita etc.
Are you sure it's not just Chileans running slowly?

Or Jonah Lowe eh @Stargazer

It was a massive, massive blunder not picking Akira Ioane this year. When Graham Henry likens a player to Jonah Lomu, I take notice. If used effectively, he could have an enormous impact at the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
Fifita looks pretty similar to Jonah here too and it's fair to say Argentina are a bit more of a Rugby power than Chile are....

Hemopo at 6 sits fine with me, until you remember he's 3rd in line at the Highlanders, and therefore will get zero time there.

Arguably at the start of this year Frizell was 3rd in line behind Squire and Dixon. Actually, isn't Dixon back? So that would make Hemopo 4th in line?

While Mauger has already poured cold water on the idea of Hemopo moving to six, I think it would have our best players on the paddock and Luke Whitelock off it. I think that would be best for NZ rugby and best for the Highlanders, but it won't happen.

20 FrizellDoes playing well against Argentina not count anymore ? Him and Fifita seem to have been tarred with the same brush despite clattering greaseballs like bowling pins whenever they had the ball in hand.

20 Frizell
I think the no20 jersey suits Frizell well in Super Rugby and potentially test footy, come on and just smash and bash blokes.

In their last 24 matches Argentina have won 4 and lost 20.

They have been quite shit to be fair. The Scots fan in me is pleased by the thought of that this Sundee.

The problem is he doesn't smash and bash blokes, he scrags them down. I don't think he has put in one dominant tackle in the test matches he has played so far.
