Hard to believe this was 40 years ago.
Love Steve Fenwick's turn of phrase,
Centre Steve Fenwick told The Rugby Paper in 2016: "No-one has more respect for the All Blacks than me but that was a disgrace, the closest thing I've seen to soccer on a rugby field."
despite the irony of Fenwick's own disgraceful actions ending the career of Clive Curry (leading to McKechnie actually being on the field).
But we all know harmless gamesmanship is a far worse crime than out and out thuggery... not sure Wales is prepared for that sort of self-awareness though.

Yes, but Oliver was diving too, he was much less enthusiastic about it and he just had the fortune to actually get fouled.
It may have been a penalty anyway. But it was also a pre-meditated cheat. We tend to laugh it off but I think the criticism is fair, it was an unsporting act.
