AFL 2018

It was over in the first quarter and the Eagles just kept it going.
Will be a very interesting contest next week with two very contrasting styles.
Pies out-Tigered the Tigers last night and I still think the Dees overachieved by making the prelim.
What’s good is that it will be a different premier for the a third straight year.

Eagles will win, Pies played their GF last night
Shit what a belting today.

Pies have been more the surprise story this season than the Demons IMO , no one picked then to make the 8 , people predicting them to struggle and Buckley to be under the pump again,
Demons have had shit slung their way for some time for being the under achievers with that list , and probably finally achieved what they should .

All on board the West Coast bandwagon.

@kiwiinmelb ummm but he does have working class roots?

@nta ahh, he's worked for his money in a deplorable industry filled with fuckwits, and he runs a successful footy club, but mostly it's the "Gregan/Fitzy" syndrome - absolute fluffybunnies unless they play for your team 😁
But it was a cracker final. In rugby the adage is, a good big man will always beat a good little man.
And so it was with the Eagles fucken giants all over the place at the end

I would like to thank the Collingwood football club for beating Richmond last week, and then losing the grand final yesterday. You beauty

Last day of the the trade period. It's been loooooong on chat, but short on action.
Freo have held a lot up by trying to prove what a well run club they are by bidding unders for players coming in, and asking for overs for players going out. That in itself isn't an issue, but being bombastic about it doesn't help anyone.
For once, the Brisbane Lions are at the centre of a lot. We hold a decent pick (5) and we have a genuine a-grader wanting to come to the club. Dayne Beams is trying to engineer a move to Collingwood (apparently) but they are a little light on currency to get our best player, especially one who just signed an extension. There could be a big, multi-club deal done today to get a few players moved, and i read a trade last night that would allow a few places to get their man, and us to both keep Beams and get Neale.
Probably the biggest story is how fucked GWS suddenly are, with the salary cap squeezing a heap of talent out of the team all at once. Add in the VFL standard list the Suns are going to be left with tonight, it's not painting the expansion clubs in a good light.

@mariner4life We didn’t get Gaff but saints didn’t end the TP too badly picking up Hannebery and Kent.
