I'll have to watch ESPN's Around the Horn and PTI to see what they say. Wilbon is a Serena fanboy so he'll likely be defending her.

That would be hilarious. He could offer to pay her fine out of his own pocket and a MAGA cap.

The meltdown from the cretins who have been excusing her behaviour would be something to behold .

When she went after a female line umpire:

US Open 2011: Sam Stosur lifts crown after Serena Williams rants at umpire in women's final

US Open 2011: Sam Stosur lifts crown after Serena Williams rants at umpire in women's final

Australia’s Sam Stosur became the unexpected winner of the US Open after an extraordinary final in which her opponent, Serena Williams, had another huge bust-up with the officials.

Tennis seems full of sexist umpires..

Petulant is a great description of Williams.

Now she has lost 2 finals in a row she will be even more desperate as that one title to equal Margaret Court will seem further away.

She really is the Nick Kyrgios of women's tennis. Then goes one step lower by playing the racism and sexism cards afterwards to justify her childish behaviour.

Too much time hanging out narcissistic A-list celebrities has left her head well and truly buried up her own ass. Her older sister seems very level headed by comparison.

@no-quarter dicks on Breakfast were defending her this morning claiming Kyrgios gets away it and is labelled 'cheeky' for his antics...not sure I seen to many people say he is cheeky.

Feel for that poor Japanese girl in all this, she wins her first tournament against her child hood idol (wonder if she still looks up to her...) and all anyone talks about is poor discriminated Serena!

@taniwharugby haha now they're just making shit up. Kyrgios gets torn to shreds by all and sundry when he plays up like that, to the point that you start to feel a bit sorry for the bloke - in fact I remember Federer feeling like he needed to come to his defense as the hate was getting so toxic.

That's like the myth that females get more abuse online than males, when basically all studies done state the opposite is true. Idiots in the media just make up bullshit to suit the narrative they are trying to push.

The world has too much information and too many people scrambling to be heard.

Unfortunately, it's often no longer the most sensible commentators who are garnering attention and clicks - it's the biggest fuckwits!

How is sexism even a relevant argument in this context? The other player was a female ffs. If this was a vile misogynist pig trying to take down women why not penalise the other player? Oh yeah that's right, because she didn't get instructions from her coach, didn't smash her racket and didn't abuse the umpire. How can anyone, including her biggest fans, defend her on this? She is so in the wrong it's not funny.

This is as absurd as John McEnroe being hounded to apologise when he gave a honest appraisal of where SW stands in relation to male tennis players.

It's also been reported that the umpire was paid $633 for the final. That's probably less than what SW earns per second. Yet somehow the player worth hundreds of millions and who is married to a tech billionaire is some kind of victim and the guy who correctly did his job and was paid a pittance for doing so is the villain. What kind of fucked up parallel universe are we living in?

Some time during the last election cycle, every retarded American media woman with "feminist" in their twitter bio (sure sign of acute retardation) decided that Beyonce, and every other "strong black woman", was their hero, and not a single comment would be tolerated that wasn't venerative.

It actually made them more risible and irrelevent than before.
