Wallabies v Springboks

@machpants Argentina usually save their worst for the Wallabies and that'll probably continue this year.

Rassie needs to get Bok on track
[...]
Was Mbonambi being blamed for the error? Was Marx’s workload no longer an issue? It was a confusing move on several levels.
Erasmus offered some answers after the match. They only led to more questions.
Erasmus felt that Mbonambi had ’emptied the tank’ and needed to be subbed. There was no talk of an injury, and it was inferred that the hooker had simply run out of gas after 35 minutes of rugby.
The player picked to start couldn’t complete the first half due to exhaustion. The player on the bench, who couldn’t start because of a heavy workload earlier in the season, was brought on early and ended up getting 45 minutes of game time.
Try and make sense of that.

The vapours were going to his head. He called Rassie for the coaching gig for a half-year (at least) before it was official, and predicted the Boks would sweep England 3-0. He was correct on the first point (worst kept secret in SA sport); and almost nailed his 2nd prediction. That’s when he started pumping Rassie’s Boks as being ready to pump ABs 2-0 in RC. He could yet be right, but right now the training wheels are coming off and he’s looking silly. That said, I do like his enthusiasm, and he generally gives ABs huge respect.

Having said that for some reason it iccurred to me recently that we hadn't heard any of Keohane's batshit crazy shit stirring for a few years. Makes me feel all nostalgic.
Anyone been on his forum recently?
All the time. Highly entertaining. At heart he’s a sports fan first, a patriot second and a journalist third, so as much as I ridicule him regularly, I kinda like the guy.

Elton threw that game away. A terrible ten.
de Klerk was just as bad and made some critical mistakes at the end.
The problem with the Boks is that they resorted to route one so often that when they finally decided to use their backs they made schoolboy errors. Taking a scrum at the end wasn't the right option as long as Aust made their tackles. Even though the penalty was in the middle kick to the corner and back your lineout drive.

Not that we didn't know already but the $6million man is a bloody whinger of a captain. He was carrying on after he was tackled in the air late in the game. Something along the lines of "what if i had landed on my head?" He was barely off the ground and landed fine.
The clown has really perfected their victim mentality game. Not being shit at rugby should be next on his list. -

The test next week will be interesting ,
Has there ever been a bigger gap between the two sides as to what there appears to be right now ?

Watched a bit of this last night. Seemed a significant step down from the AB Argie game ... gave up after 20 minutes with crappy handling. Doesn't sound like I missed too much.
That said, any win against the Boks is always sweet. They always seem to be one of the harder sides to put away. We'll miss BBBR too

We lost our three best players on the eve of the game (one of which was just an hour before KO), so my expectations were low.
It wasn't pretty, but I'm really happy we got the W. We bloody needed it, and somehow found a way to eke it out.
The Boks were just dire, and it's hard to see how they get within 50 this week.

This game is a comedy of errors.
and that is what I chose to watch instead of the Aussies (https://popupglobe.com.au/)
