I’m was getting that way with the last six or so years with the Blues. I decided to take a stronger interest in Auckland this year to try and get some enjoyment back in what is essentially an entertainment hobby right?

It’s a shame the NRC is losing your interest too, that’s the part of rugby that needs support from fans like you. That’s the path to getting rugby strong again in Aussie.

And its not even about the winning or losing - though the winning helps, I will say.

Its about the utter lack of connection. Having run my little club for a couple of years straight, I've come to realise NSWRU give negative fucks about people at our level. There is so much gatekeeping and ring-fencing in Sydney rugby alone, it would amaze most.

ONE development office for the whole of Western Sydney, and they're too busy coaching another team most times to do anything. No presence in schools unless local clubs organise it. No traction against the other codes.

    It is appalling.

"The 2 best teams in the rugby championship, (South Africa 1st and Australia 2nd) in what will surely be a titanic struggle for world rugby dominance." Said Mark Keohane to no one at all..

Having said that for some reason it iccurred to me recently that we hadn't heard any of Keohane's batshit crazy shit stirring for a few years. Makes me feel all nostalgic.

Anyone been on his forum recently?

@booboo I read his twitter and try to get most of his columns.

He’s passionate and loves his Boks. I respect that. He’s always talked them and the SA teams up, although I think he’s not always honest in his opinion. Gets sick of hearing from all other SA pundits about how they are going to lose and woe in SA, so talks positive.
