I haven't read the comments yet but a few observations from the game.
(1) Waikato looked OK for 65 mins but the porous defence in the last 15 mins was bloody annoying, and a return to previous form.
(2) Wellington were very poor during that period, a lot of handling errors (from both teams really).
(3) Manihera is a frustrating player as he is always good for some meathead moments.
(4) The Waikato tactic of passing wide was always susceptible to an intercept so it was no surprise to finally concede one.
(5) Fifita did SFA in this game. You would expect him to shine at this level.

Why Numia? I thought Fahamoikioa has played well.

Agree that Thomas is the better 2nd 5 (compared to Peter). Although unsure if his defense is good enough. I would just like to have another look at Filipo. But otherwise agree with Peter on the wing in preference to Tuitama. Price looks class so want to see more of him

I just think Fahamoikioa provides better impact off the bench. I think Hintz should make a move back to hooker where he played when he was at school. He is far too small for a NPC size prop.

Prop is defs our weakness and we really miss Fidow this year.

Yeap. Ben Nicholas was 6 tonight, he normally plays 8. Fifita was all the way back in Welly, hard for him to make an impact off the couch.
