He has the best technique of any elite shotputter, by miles. So biomechanically efficient. So many of the top guys are absolute physical freaks in terms of size/strength, and have been from an early age, so never needed to be as technically proficient as Walsh who is (comparatively!) a midget.
Even when he was only throwing 18m in 2011 and Jacko Gill was the next big thing, you could tell Walsh would continue to get better and better as he got bigger/stronger.
As he gets into his 30s he'll get better and better as much of the strength/explosiveness is cumulative over many years of training. I reckon he could break the world record one day, which given it was set by a man who had buckets of steroids for breakfast in 1990 is amazing.

He also has a couple of guys to really push him. I've been so impressed by how much he has improved, and he's a geniune GC to boot. Would be an amazing effort to see him break some of those dubious prior records.
